Hi Paul, Would just like to compliment you on the quality of this video. Dont know if youve done any tweeks? but the lighting, colour and clarity are exceptional, Oh and the review is to the usual high standard, look forward to seeing the build. This isnt BS I really think its one of the best I've seen.

Late to the video, but I just started building the standard version and just grabbed this one. When it comes to the grill, before I masked the whole front and sprayed it from the back, but could I use say Citadel Chaos black or Tamiya TS29 on it and use isopropyl alcohol to do the same trick you did and wipe the front down with it and still retain the chrome underneath?

When the 2K varnish is sprayed, the cylinder pressure should be adjusted to the number of bars.

How much is the air pressure of the fuel injection pump, spray paint 2K
Paint it semi gloss then clear it with semi. The car definitely has a not glossy but not matte finish to it. The decals are then put ontop. I've got a bunch of pics for it and they all have that semi sheen to the black paint.

The head lights, are they different being yellow on the Leon box?
The headlights are yellow on the car cause it runs in the GT300 class, the GT500 cars have the white or clear lenses.
@@truenorthscalemotorsports527 yeah, that part I knew I was merely commenting on Paul's query if anything else was different from the two kits. I thought that that was one of the differences demonstrated in the kit.

@@digsbyjames7726 ahhh. Well the new kit has the same lights as the Presentation version. I wish Tamiya had of done it with the sprint lights instead so that we could at least get a version of the sprint lights in one of the kits. And it would have been correct as this car ran both types of lights during the season. Unfortunately for the sprint lights you'll have to try to get a set of the SK Decals or Splash Paints lights. I dont know of anyone else that did a resin set of the sprint lights. Or, you can make your own by using the Revell AMG GT kit for the sprint lights.
Are my eyes going, or are those 'engine detail' decals for the bonnet printed in black? To go on a black car....??

You say you cover applying decals to wheels in the subaru build. I spend an hour looking through the videos specifically for the wheel decaling tutorial. “Im not going to bother showing you guys how to do decals on wheels. Please refer to the decal video prior” SMH.
Yes with all the free to watch content I upload I sometimes get confused which video shows what, hopefully you can get that hour lost back somehow later in your life :)
