It's a sad fact of life that foxes in the wild invariably have fleas and very often mange mites, and there is not really anything you can do about it, I see this poor fox is scratching an awful lot and unless you trap them and have them treated unfortunately this can shorten their lives as they die from secondary infections from the scratching, nature is very cruel because they are beautiful creatures, we have foxes too, my dog caught mange from them and was quite poorly for a while, but luckily with expensive treatment she is OK but has to take a special protective tablet once a month, the fox she caught it from was found dead under next doors shed, there is a new vixen now who has had two litters, and they are adorable, but I don't feed them, they need their wildness to keep them safe, I put water out for them, they are safe in our gardens as all the neighbours love the wildlife, we have hedgehogs too, I hope these foxes stay safe, xxx
