Do you also recommend getting rid of dissonant frequencies for example the seventh harmonic on any sound or they are important for creating a texture on the sound itself? Ciao, and gracias man! Here are the answers to your questions: 1. Usually yes (like, 95% of the time), but not as a hard and fast rule. Some sounds might get their character from beneath the fundamental frequency, so always A/B compare. 2. This is something I'll only do if I'm having issues with a muddy or cluttered mix, and I'll do a surgical EQ sweep to see how the frequency affects the sound. 3.
