It's so awesome that there are clear videos like this out there for people. Some of us just don't have the patience or teaching skills to get the point across. Teaching people guitar techniques makes me want to rip my eyes from my skull.
thanks heaps man, im trying to learn hearts burst into fire and trying to play the verse part when you strum chord then quickly palm mute to gallop its hard
fantastic quick tutorial 👌 I found you on a short and you give clearer and easier to understand explanations than many of the more experienced well know pros on here. Great work 👍
I'm learning that if you press your palm to hard as well it will choke out and deaden the note on all your up strokes. The angle of the pick can also change the sound and meat of the action
Good stuff, man. I really do learn from you every time I watch one of your videos. You in a band? I'd love to hear some tracks you've put down. And thanks for the knowledge. I'm a better guitarist cuz of you. Don't stop teaching and coaching. I believe you are changing the musical landscape for a lot of people from "I quit, this is too hard" to "oh snap, I can do this." Good stuff, bro. Good stuff.
Thanks, dude! I recently started playing with a band called "Voidthrone" on bass. New album on the horizon but they wrote it all before I joined in, but there are lots of cool basslines. Sitting on a ton of my own music -- don't really have any project out right now that I feel represents me well. Made electronic music almost 10 years ago as "Polyphony", put out a death metal album a few years ago called "At The Mercy Of Your Own". And word! Never quit, we can always practice and get better and accomplish our goals
My pickups usually get in the way of my pick when I palm mute. It's right where that sweet spot is but I guess it'll just make playing on a guitar without a pickup in the way a lot easier. I only have a squire strat and I'm not looking to buy another guitar at the moment.😂
How do you switch between muted and open? Do you move hand back and forth or leave hand in muted position and angle up(raise hand off strings) when playing open?
That harmonic in the beginning😫
Great content keep it up!
Dude I'm tired of commenting....you're the man keep it going I need these
Been practicing the palm mute on my own. This helps! I swear you are the perfect teacher and you seem so rad.

Amazing
Nice but i have beefy thick hands
Brother please make a vid on fretting hand palm muting techniques...used in djent
My prefered mute technique is half open half muted. Just a nastier sounding mute. Theres definitly a sweet spot for it.
This is great quick stuff. But I swear to God when you rest your palm too much and played those few notes I heard the vines get free intro!!
Cool
Happy good Friday, Sabbath day and easter day 21 th century 2021 happy new year.god bless Australia Judea with love and proud.
Thank you! Hope you had a great Good Friday
How do you switch between muted and open? Do you move hand back and forth or leave hand in muted position and angle up(raise hand off strings) when playing open?
A very small lift of the hand when you pick can do it. OR move your hand a bit to the right
How do you only mute one string?
You mean djently?
what guitar do you use?
Ibanez RGA32! I basically recommend any Ibanez
Bro are you in Charlotte?
I'm a fraud! Never been to Charlotte -- currently in Seattle!
