A couple things I think people stumbling on this video should know: -Animation cancelling: You can dodge roll out of any attack animation, and attack to cancel the roll animation. If you time your roll to cancel the attack animation after damage is dealt, then attack immediately before the roll finishes, you can chain attacks with slower weapons much faster. It makes hammers far easier to use, though it takes some practice to control. If timed right, it also freezes your place in a combo, so the final attack of the gauntlets that has increased range and damage can be repeated rapid-fire to devastating effect. Combined with a Godly weapon and a damage-boosting fleece, you can take down most multi-cycle bosses before they have a chance to flee. -Invincibility: There are several effects that grant you temporary invulnerability that can be used to clear entire rooms or even bosses without taking a single hit, trivializing the no-damage achievements. The divine guardian curse grants two seconds of invincibility, the shamura's skull and blessed laplace's dice grant 8 and 10 seconds respectively (though the latter is a 50% chance and single use), and the godly moment tarot card grants a couple seconds when entering a new room. These can be combined and chained as needed to get through even the final boss without a moment of vulnerability, allowing you to continue attacking and thus generating fervor and charging your relic faster to allow for even more invulnerability time. These things combined can trivialize combat and so not everyone will want to use all of these mechanics, but I know some people are here more for the cult management side of the game and knowing these things can enhance their enjoyment of it by making it easier to get through the harder sections. If you're on Penitence Mode, if you sleep at night time it will skip to the next day, refilling your ZZZ completely no matter when, so make the most of the time before sunrise. 45:10 You can also get a 50% No Damage bonus for also not being hit on the regular sections
I once tried to off my follower by feeding them posisen food (my best strategy for getting rid of spys) it took three of them. Somehow this npc got lucky twice on a 25% chance to live.

i thought there are repercussions to fighting the snail hidden boss? arent the seeds more expensive after cuz its usually 5 coins instead of 6 like in the vid
@@blinkisbackhellyeah I thought the effect was permanent. Even if it is not, having the vender whimpering at me all the time now is annoying enough to be a repercussion all its own. Unlock that follower at your own risk.

I was using the Pig follower for the job at first. However, after noticing the Fluffy Boar variant and learning HOW to unlock Mr. Swirl, I now rush to unlock that form. And now with the recently added ability to re-indoctrinate followers, I have the ability to change my mind if a follower's traits become redundant due to Doctrines or said "bad" follower turns out to have a Demon Form I need.

In the section 45:10 “Defeat a Boss Without Taking Damage,” is it just the boss fight where I cannot take damage, or do I have to complete the entire arena run without taking damage?
You have to avoid taking damage once you enter the boss fight. You can be injured as you fight your way to the boss through the arena, but once the boss fight begins, you have to avoid damage if you want the extra rewards and the trophy/achievement.
I hate those spiders and immediately hunt them at nightfall. They keep stealing items and gold. I'm so glad there's auto fishing. I do fish irl, but I find it tedious in games.

MAKE SURE if you get one of the console ports that you make yourself aware of how it runs. I got it for ps4 during the baby making dlc and I couldn't believe how badly it ran. Opening any kind of menu that has a list of your followers would take sometimes minutes before it actual opened and would very often straight up crash the game. That being said, the two player patch just came out and it seems to be running better on the lagging front but it also hard crashed three times in a row before I could play more than ten minutes! Im still glad I bought it because it's a great game overall and the developers seem to be working on fixing it but I would've at least liked to have known about it's problems running at the outset so hopefully someone will read this and I can prevent someone being surprised by it. You should absolutely still get the game cause it's awesome but if you are trying to decide between the pc or console versions just make sure you research how it is running with whatever current patch is out at the time for we whichever console you have. Sadly an exploit allowing you to retreat when the fourth boss abducts a follower to fight you can no longer use the focus ability to go home to escape the fight and killing your own follower :/

Specifically called, “Relics of the Old Faith,” “Sins of the Flesh” and “Unholy Alliance.” If I were remaking the video today, I would say that the later end of “Relics of the Old Faith” is a grind.
