  • Sorry for the shaky camera mount in my driving shots, I will get a GoPro ASAP! If you are a new truck driver looking to get into glass hauling with the best company in the business, then Maverick Transportation is the only choice! Here is a inside scoop on a certain type of load you would get in the glass division. This is a 2018 single drop step deck trailer loaded at about 45,000lbs, attached to a 2018 Freighter Mid Roof Cascadia. I am a new Over The Road USA truck driver for Maverick who stays out about 4 weeks at a time from home. If you have any questions for me or want to talk about Maverick then comment on video and I am always available to get you an answer! Hope you enjoy the tour and keep those wheels a turn'N or you ain't Earn'N! ⛟🛣🌎

    Good day and thnks for the video. Might I suggest that your background music be at a lower setting. It is difficult to hear you speaking. Safe travels and enjoy !

      Thanks scoot !!! I'm a very creative person so I love music very much and I love making videos and very passionate when it comes to these things so I'm not like all the other boring video makers where I just talk I'm not going to be like that sorry I do appreciate your advice though but if anything my videos will be more creative in the future with lots of music and good times my friend life is too short to be boring! You got to let your spirit and your soul free and don't follow the herd be yourself and enjoy every day!

      Scoot wasn't complaining about the music you were playing, he was just saying that you're playing it too loud that's all, and I agree with him. I couldn't hear what you were saying because you had the music up too loud. Other than that, I liked your video and that's a nice truck. I'm thinking about doing that myself

      Hey thank you you can check out some of my other videos I love music it's a part of my life and it means a lot to me so I'm always going to use it in my videos but there was just some editing issues I had with this one LOL but thanks for the comments I appreciate that. I'm actually using a step deck trailer right now headed through the storm to Ohio kind of dangerous but I'm definitely keeping it safe

    What size TV do you have back there?

    • @soccersoul76
      @soccersoul76  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a 30 inch right now but I really want to get a 32 nice Smart TV which I have at home the only problem is it has the four holes that are spread out really far and that doesn't fit the mount I have in my truck. The mount that comes and most Freightliners is the four holes that are within about 2 in of each other. So I had a 30 in which fit my mount in my truck so I'm using that for now!

    What are you averaging for miles in the glass division?

    • @soccersoul76
      @soccersoul76  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Chris I am over the road and I stay out 6 weeks at a time so they keep me very busy I don't do 34-hour reset I just keep recapping hours and I'm always on the go so I average around 2,200 to three thousand miles. If you aren't looking to do over the road and you go home every other week or so then you're probably going to average around 2,000 a week

    Can you work for the glass division and still get home on weekends? What about getting the tarps on, do you get help with that? Are the tarps heavy? Thanks.

    • @soccersoul76
      @soccersoul76  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes sir you can get home on the weekends in class division but you're going to have to do dedicated you can check on Maverick usa.com to see if they're hiring where you live for dedicated. At the glass plant they help you with their crane get the tarps on to your loads all you got to do is secure them you don't have to lift them onto the glass. They are heavy but all we do is roll the tarps up we don't put them on they do that for us thank goodness LOL
