He has very helpful info as you mentioned. It seems Daniels, Galloway, and Arthur Lynarrd developed the programs which modern coaches tweak to make their own programs
I tried Jack Daniels for running when I was younger. I just threw up a lot 🤮 Might have been a different Jack Daniels 😳 Just Kidding! I've actually never looked into his methods but I might just take a look!
That other Jack Daniel's is fun, but I don't recover well enough to follow that program. 😆 There is a lot of good information from Jack Daniel's the running coach. His programs have a bit more intensity than I can handle these days. I refer to his VDOT pace tables quite often.

I did one of his general fitness plans two winrers ago. I think the red plan
I think his plans are excellent, however a bit tougher to follow.
