Only 1 of Stephen A takes was correct. Our offense was extremely bad for most of the year. 44 drops in a season is disgusting. Also the amount of penalties YUCK. Almost comical. No one other than Mahomes could overcome all that. Pacheco's running and Rice's coming into form were also big factors.
The penalties were only half our fault... Jawaan Taylor only committed about half the penalties they say he did. Go look at the Eagles, Ravens, Texans, Jaguars, Commanders, Giants - literally about half the teams in the NFL - and pay attention to their tackles on the snap. You'll see a jump more egregious than any Jawaan Taylor had all year (except for one genuine jump) on almost every snap (that's a pass play) Other than that, they were just paying a lot of attention to us, in order to make sure no one accused them of giving us favors (as if that would stop people delusional enough to think that)

They overcame a LOT of difficulties this season & still captured their 2nd straight Super Bowl championship. Watching this was fun! Good job compiling these clips. I'll be honest, I agreed with a lot of this. I'm a Chiefs fan but hey, I'm honest about it. I think we had a sucky year. I was frustrated and pissed off most of the year. Our receivers were terrible! They couldn't catch a cold. Even Kelce was dropping some easy balls. And way too many penalties! C'mon guys! We're not the damned Raiders. Get it together! Losing to Detroit AT HOME opening day??? Yeah, I know we had some issues but that's my point! We fought issues all season long. Uncharacteristic issues. Denver beat the scrap out of us and no one seemed to care. The stupid Raiders beat us up and they were terrible! Hell no wonder no one thought we were going anywhere. We weren't up until the end and then they started playing with heart and doing all the little things right. Butker was the most consistent guy on the team! He deserves MVP.
