Ever since I found out you can keep fresh water planted tanks without water changes it open up the posibility of a large tank for me. Been looking at sumps thats why I stumbeled here. Seems like building the set up is a hobby of its own. Very nice thanks for sharing the build.

You gotta love toddlers and tanks. One second they're amazed with the fish delighting the aquarist and parents, the next they're grabbing towels, reaching for equipment, or throwing food in the tank. It is better safe than sorry. Aquariums can be a phenomenal benefit to a child's imagination or a adolescent's exposure to science, but you're right to put a lid on that :)

Nice set up, kids love to throw things in the sumps. Keep an eye out. 😅

Looking nice. Hopefully the acrylic lid works. They make lids out of polycarbonate because thin acrylic tends to warp.

Excellent! Are you able to get behind your racks? I made the mistake of putting one too close to the wall and now I can't service it from behind the rack

  • @ghost61

are you going to put in a uv? now would be the time

  • @harshseabee4210
