Fun fact, each of Ghidorah's heads have their own personalities, as well as faces and even names. Ichi = is the middle head, the most mature, leader of the heads and possibly the body itself, he would be the villain especially in relation to the other heads Ni = is the head on the right of ghidorah, this is the most aggressive, being the first to attack without thinking twice, in addition to appearing to be irritated by anything San/Kevin = the head on the left of ghidorah, he is the most immature of the three, being the silliest, curious, distracted, and sometimes a bit cowardly since this is the one who attacks least, I think it's no wonder that the others bully him, his original name is San, but Kevin ended up being the nickname for fans because of his personality, in addition to being the favorite head of many (I hope I didn't confuse the name with ghidorah's head in the middle and on the right)
Another thing to know, if nobody's mentioned it yet, is that Ghidorah is based on the ancient myth of the Hydra, a three headed dragon that, if you cut off a head, it grew back two more. You may be familiar with that myth from the MCUs evil organization named Hydra, and their slogan, "cut off one head, two more grow back".
If you like closely when Godzilla does that little pulse, you can see Mothra's wing design and hear her screech. Mothra did that move to sacrifice herself and help Godzilla in the final fight with her radiation
Shes reborn eternally. Her thing is sacrifice and a loop of sacrificing herself for those in need. Those invincible fairies are like her heart. They cant die so she cant die. At least not permanently. So shes reborn over and over again anytime shes needed.
Not really surprising in the days of media like we have. There could be a subset of media he likes to watch on his own time that is completely foreign to stuff like this. I haven't seen TV in years, been to the movies in a decade, or watch most of anything unless it's around a recommendation or gaming content.
I love that look Godzilla gives Rodan as the other Titans gather around him after delivering the kill shot on the last Ghidorah head with his Atomic Breath. That look could ONLY mean "Bow down or die." Also, if you don't recognize Dr. Ilene Chen or her sister Ling Chen....their actress, Ziyi Zhang played Hu Li in Rush Hour 2. Also, I *LOVE* that they recycled the Toho Studios Godzilla theme music and roars for this movie.
@@jager3090Kong may be a king but Godzilla is a god, hence the name, and like the other reply said, he's only known as Kong in the Monsterverse, they never call him King Kong
Monster Zero’s three heads are Ichi (center) Ni (right) and San (left.) Ichi is the most intelligent of the three. Ni is the most aggressive of the three. San (also known as Kevin) is the least intelligent/most curious of the three.
Fun Fact: If you watch closely when Godzilla is releasing those red energy blasts you'll notice two things - First, you can can hear Mothra cries each time. Second, you can see Mothra wing patterns in the energy blasts. Mothra sacrificed herself to give Godzilla more energy and power him up. Don't worry though, Mothra always lays eggs before she goes to do something in case she dies. The next generation Mothra will also have all the memories of the previous generations. She's a really neat kaiju that's always been portrayed as benevolent to humans.
She didn’t give him more energy, she just helped him disperse it in a safe way. The energy was from the nuke and it was going to make him, quite literally explode. She transferred some form of life force to him that allowed him to reach the thermo form
Fun facts: the facial expressions of Godzilla and Ghodorah were all done with motion capture. Each one of Ghidorah's heads was also given a name by the filmmakers: the middle head, which is the one in charge, is called Ichi, the head on the left is called Nee, and the head on the right is San. Ichi, Nee, and San, of course, is 1,2, and 3 in Japanese. San was also called "Kevin", I have no idea why, it's just a name they have him XD.
Killing the spider would be the WORST idea possible(also, it isn't a spider, it only has 6 legs) because it stops the icecaps from melting Godzilla heals the barrier reefs, and is responsible for completely healing the Great Barrier Reef Behemoth(the mammoth) healed the Amazon forest, it also is implied to have bloomed a rainforest in the Sahara dessert Scylla("Spider") heals the icecaps Rodan(giant fire bird), although not stated, most likely fertilizes the soil due to its volcanic nature(erupting volcanos are VERY good for the soil) Mothra, IDK if we ever got to know what she does, but I assume it would have to do with pollution? Like, her God Rays could clean the air or something, a mysterious egg(thought to be Mothra's) was discovered, implying that she'd be back, as Mothra has the ability to reincarnate, with her memories being passed to her children Titan shit is seemingly a new energy source, as implied by the credits Skull Island has become unstable All these things are either from director tweets/interviews or from the credit scene of this movie
fun fact the oxygen destroyer actually just created a new Titan known as destroyah which was a prehistoric micro organism but the oxygen destroyer mutated it now it’s slowly growing and evolving into something deadlier than Ghidorah which will appear in a later film soon
We don't know if Destroyah will be in future MonsterVerse films. Toho generally only ever leases out Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, and Ghidorah. _That being said_ it would be amazing to have Destroyah appear.
The final scene of this movie is simply perfect. The visuals, the music, the meaning of the title made manifest. Nothing else needs to be said. It’s the perfect note to end on.
The reason Godzilla turned red was because when mothra sacrificed her life’ her life went into Godzilla and when that happened Godzilla turned all fiery and red, Also every time he blows up you can see mothras wings on his back, also also every time he blows up you can hear mothras roar.
One of my favorite bits of behind the scenes trivia about this movie is that when they did the motion capture reference for Ghidorah (three headed gold dragon), they actually had three seperate motion capture artists for him, one for each head. I adore the dynamic they gave Ghidorah's heads, it's funny and relatable to pretty much anyone with siblings.

Mothra has the ability of rebirth, in a way. Every time Mothra shows up, she lays an egg, that way another Mothra will always be born when one dies. Also, she knew she was going to die, she purposely sacrificed herself and gave her power to Godzilla.
This finally gave everyone more monsters and fights, what a great story! 23:13 This scene is very well done but why would the jets fly so close to Rodan? 38:36 Why didnt he set the timer for longer, say goodbye to Godzilla then leave? 49:08 Why didnt she leave the orca there and get on the plane? So many questions😅.
For the Japanese scientist sacrificing himself, the radiation just from being around Godzilla and his healing pool was enough to kill him within the next few hours. I would rather blow up like he did than die slowly
The thing that bowed down to Godzilla at the end that you said was from the first movie is a queen muto, the ones from the first movie are male and female mutos. Female mutos evolve into queens and then then evolve into muto prime.

And they're not dinosaurs that is important also Pterodactyl isn't the name for the entire group pterosauria but just its own genus in the group aka pterodactylus. But Rodan is based on the most well known pterosaur the Pteranodon
14:27 Fun fact: The letimoff in the music that plays here is known as the “Akira Ifukube Godzilla March”. In the original 1954 Godzilla movie, Japanese composer Akira Ifukube composed what was essentially Godzilla’s theme song. It would go on to appear in several Godzilla films afterwards. The composer for this movie, Bear McCreary, managed to get Toho’s permission to arrange the song for the soundtrack. The Godzilla March’s inclusion in this film makes it the first ever official inclusion of the song in an American Godzilla film.

Fun fact everyone in the Godzilla community likes ghidorahs left head also named Kevin or San because another fun fact each head has their own names and personalities Right head Ni middle head Ichi left head San/Kevin Ni is considered to be the crazy one. Ichi the evil one, San/Kevin the goofy/nice one
I admit, when I first saw this, I was low-key pissed off at how many times Gojira could've killed Ghidorah (Monster X) only for mankind to get in the way. GOjira had it packing in antartica, only for Monarch to get in the way. He had already ripped one head off when they fought underwater (lets face it, if Gojira ripped off all three, the re-generation ability becomes useless) only for the military to get in the way. Even in the final battle in Boston, Gojira had it beat until Ghidorah charged up via powerlines. Hell, the way Gojira & Mothra tag teamed him, Mothra was about to cut off one of the heads when Rodan interfered. Mankind just cannot help but get in the way when it comes to Godzilla films.

So everytime the big G did his burning radiation thing at the end you can hear Mothra's call 'cause Mothra has magic powers and when she died her energy landed and went into the big G and essentially buffed up the radiation inside of him giving him a big power boost.
so fun fact, in the original mothra series the twins are tiny magical beings basically who kind of "control" mothra in a sense, or rather call to her whenever there is danger. the song that played during mothra's cocoon hatching is the song that the twins sing to call her in the old movies.

(At 14:40) I'm starting to think King Ghidorah isn't really a dragon. He might be a three-headed wyvern. Which is "remotely similar" like a dragon, except they don't have "real" forearms (not counting the wings on the shoulders) and they have barbed tails. And as for that yellow electricity coming out of him, I wouldn't actually call that lightning. That's King Ghidorah's signature attack… "Gravity Beams"
Don't start this. Limb number really doesn't matter on what is or is not a dragon outside of Dungeons and Dragons or British Heraldry. Seeing how this is neither, Calling Ghidorah a Dragon is perfectly fine.

Here’s the general rundown about mothra she basically is the protector of humans as long as there not stupid an less attack her they will most likely die. also when ever mothra dies her child will have the same memories as the parent Basically she is immortal the only way to kill her forever is for both the child and the parent be dead.
All she did was send the sappy soldier flying through the air landing on soft silk…if they didn’t break their backs…they definitely broke their spirits
I really like the implication that when Ghidora summoned all the Titans after claiming Alpha from Godzilla, Kong on Skull Island was like, "Yeah you can go kiss my ass. I ain't going."
One of the recurring themes of the Godzilla movies, all thirty-eight of them (which is more than James Bond), is humanity is "playing with fire" in regards to sciences they only 'think' they understand. Usually that's nuclear themed, but it's also touched on genetics (Biollante), the environment (Hedorah, the Smog Monster), cybernetics (mechagodzilla), etc, and we inevitably shoot ourselves in the foot. "The arrogance of man..." as Serizawa put it. And, yes, there are 38 Godzilla movies (40 if you count the 'American' edits of the original 1954 film and the '84 Godzilla Returns).
that's the thing with this movie,it's for the fans from a fan,and so,if you don't know certain things about the background of the Godzilla franchise, you're gonna be confused and ask questions like "Why are they happy this moth monster is hatching?" or "Why Serizawa, out of all people and soldiers in the submarine,is gonna sacrifice his life to heal Godzilla?". So,you got it,Mothra is a good guy, like she's always been, the movie made you understand that, about Serizawa, tho, the thing is a little bit more convoluted than that: you see,the original Serizawa character in the first Godzilla movie of 1954 created the Oxygen Destroyer, the same one that almost killed the MonsterVerse Godzilla. Despite resisting putting it to use to kill Godzilla,he eventually agrees, but he first destroys his research and, while activating it underwater near Godzilla,he cuts the rope of his diving suit and sacrifices his life to avoid any ill-intentioned people or government to use the Oxygen Destroyer as a new mass-destruction weapon

All the monsters that showed up at the end to bow to godzilla (except Rodan) are all original monsters made by Legendary Studios and sadly only ever are shown again in the Legendary Comic Books (which i highly suggest checking out if anyone is interested) along with some unique monsters that havent yet appeared on film.
alot of these is from memory, so apologies if its wrong or only slightly correct.
Edited: Fixed alot of wrong info thanks to the comments.
Ken Watanabe was never a Godzilla suit actor.

Nope. Never happened. Can't find anything on Ken replacing anybody in the suit.

Fun fact, each of Ghidorah's heads have their own personalities, as well as faces and even names.
Ichi = is the middle head, the most mature, leader of the heads and possibly the body itself, he would be the villain especially in relation to the other heads
Ni = is the head on the right of ghidorah, this is the most aggressive, being the first to attack without thinking twice, in addition to appearing to be irritated by anything
San/Kevin = the head on the left of ghidorah, he is the most immature of the three, being the silliest, curious, distracted, and sometimes a bit cowardly since this is the one who attacks least, I think it's no wonder that the others bully him, his original name is San, but Kevin ended up being the nickname for fans because of his personality, in addition to being the favorite head of many
(I hope I didn't confuse the name with ghidorah's head in the middle and on the right)
your wrong kevin is secretly the most overpowered but the reosen he does not attack is because if he did he could end godzilla insantly

I love that Ghidorah don't have some really simple and loud roar but rather a more unsettling and really cool sounding roar.
Greek mythology specifically. I should know lol

Bear McCreary’s score for this film goes so insanely hard
Bear McCreary?! As in the same one who composed the soundtrack for God of War Ragnarok? I had no idea
Fun Fact: If you watch closely when Godzilla is releasing those red energy blasts you'll notice two things -
First, you can can hear Mothra cries each time.
Killing the spider would be the WORST idea possible(also, it isn't a spider, it only has 6 legs) because it stops the icecaps from melting
Godzilla heals the barrier reefs, and is responsible for completely healing the Great Barrier Reef
Behemoth(the mammoth) healed the Amazon forest, it also is implied to have bloomed a rainforest in the Sahara dessert
Scylla("Spider") heals the icecaps
Rodan(giant fire bird), although not stated, most likely fertilizes the soil due to its volcanic nature(erupting volcanos are VERY good for the soil)
Mothra, IDK if we ever got to know what she does, but I assume it would have to do with pollution? Like, her God Rays could clean the air or something, a mysterious egg(thought to be Mothra's) was discovered, implying that she'd be back, as Mothra has the ability to reincarnate, with her memories being passed to her children
Titan shit is seemingly a new energy source, as implied by the credits
Skull Island has become unstable
All these things are either from director tweets/interviews or from the credit scene of this movie
Mother is literally the embodiment of mother nature from what I know
My girl Mothra! I love her, she’s probably my favorite in the entire Godzilla universe.
She is too sweet
This is my personal favorite movie of the Monsterverse. Im a fan of the classic movies, characters, and osts.

Best experience of my life. Cant wait to see you reacting to the next movie.
fun fact the oxygen destroyer actually just created a new Titan known as destroyah which was a prehistoric micro organism but the oxygen destroyer mutated it now it’s slowly growing and evolving into something deadlier than Ghidorah which will appear in a later film soon
Yes, the oxygen destroyer was also in the first Godzilla film in 1954 and maybe Destroyer comes back xd
yeah destroyah was just overpowered beyond belief
@@josueavila5210 he killed Godzilla junior and almost killed heisei I can’t imagine how powerful would be a Monsterverse destroyah would be
We don't know if Destroyah will be in future MonsterVerse films.
Toho generally only ever leases out Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, and Ghidorah.
_That being said_ it would be amazing to have Destroyah appear.
I would love to see Destroyah in monsterver 🥶🥶🥶
Ghidorah’s reveal in the movie is amazing! Then showing him in the storm when rodan was chasing the plane was so epic.
Love how you can see Mothra in the explosion and hear her battle cry like she isn’t done fight
Godzilla basically after the scene when he got revived went " Alright we cool Ghidorah I got my own hunting pack lets go!"

Same here
Mothra has the ability of rebirth, in a way.
Man, imagine you wake up after a long ass nap and the first thing you gotta do is throw hands with a dude twice your size, poor Rodan
The thing that bowed down to Godzilla at the end that you said was from the first movie is a queen muto, the ones from the first movie are male and female mutos. Female mutos evolve into queens and then then evolve into muto prime.
But she needs a male Muto to turn into a Prime
Otherwise Godzilla would have killed her on the Spot
That's a female muto? Looks smol ngl
I remember watching the godzilla movies one by one as they came out and your videos are very entertaining to say the least, it's like I'm getting a wholesome person to rewatch the movies again with me while he commentates because he is just now seeing all these actions films, earned a sub dude keep it up!
(At 22:40) they're called a Pterosaurs or a Pterodactyls, both of which Rodan is "slightly" related to.

Fun fact everyone in the Godzilla community likes ghidorahs left head also named Kevin or San because another fun fact each head has their own names and personalities
Right head Ni middle head Ichi left head San/Kevin
Ni is considered to be the crazy one.
50:41 crazy how kong fans saw this and went.

Important thing to notice is that Mothra wasn't actually killing the scientists. She would just Web them to incompatible them.
Don u should watch the animated earth movies they’re 🔥🔥🔥 it’s anime + the Godzilla verse
So everytime the big G did his burning radiation thing at the end you can hear Mothra's call 'cause Mothra has magic powers and when she died her energy landed and went into the big G and essentially buffed up the radiation inside of him giving him a big power boost.
u may not be pregnant but u never fail to deliver
so fun fact, in the original mothra series the twins are tiny magical beings basically who kind of "control" mothra in a sense, or rather call to her whenever there is danger. the song that played during mothra's cocoon hatching is the song that the twins sing to call her in the old movies.

There’s no way you actually thought Godzilla was dead 💀
that's the thing with this movie,it's for the fans from a fan,and so,if you don't know certain things about the background of the Godzilla franchise, you're gonna be confused and ask questions like "Why are they happy this moth monster is hatching?" or "Why Serizawa, out of all people and soldiers in the submarine,is gonna sacrifice his life to heal Godzilla?".
So,you got it,Mothra is a good guy, like she's always been, the movie made you understand that, about Serizawa, tho, the thing is a little bit more convoluted than that:
you see,the original Serizawa character in the first Godzilla movie of 1954 created the Oxygen Destroyer, the same one that almost killed the MonsterVerse Godzilla.
