This video really spoke to me on a personal level. The cords and wires are intermixed, metaphorically representing the convoluted ways in which my life intertwines with other lives around me. There is confusion, uncertainty - what cord goes where? What happens when a wire breaks? What if all power is lost and all of these cords cease to function? And yet, throughout it all, the gentle hum of machinery and ambient light provide ample reassurance of the innate beauty of life itself. Though some may be tangled or fraught, each cord and wire serves a distinct and meaningful purpose. All have value, whether by powering a refitted prison monitor or a coloured light. Just like we all have value. Beautiful :)
