There was also unfortunately no Splash Mountain merchandise at the time of my visit. However, it was well worth visiting Disneyland just for this - you will not be disappointed.

The last time I went on Splash Mountain was at Walt Disney World in 2018. It was my first trip to the Disney park in Florida, but I had no idea that it would be the last opportunity I would have to ride Splash Mountain. I enjoyed going on that ride as a kid, both at Disneyland in California and at Disney World in Florida. I've come to terms with this change Disney is making to its parks, but a part of me wishes I could ride it again, just once. Still, thanks to the people that put up various POV and Audio ride experience videos, we can still see what it was like to ride a log past Brer Fox and Bear's homes, float past the laughing place, and sing Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah with Brer Rabbit. Even with the ride itself now gone, those of us who had the opportunity to experience this iconic log flume ride can hold on to the beloved memories. I sort've envy the last people to go on Splash Mountain, but I can imagine it was very bittersweet for them as well, knowing that they'd never experience this again. To the person responsible for this video, I want to say thank you. Hearing this audio experience helps me remember what it was like, joining Brer Rabbit on another carefree misadventure, and hearing Brer Rabbit and his friends sing the iconic Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah melody at the end always makes me feel hopeful and able to appreciate the wonderful things around me. Thank you for the time and effort that you put into making this video.
Goodbye Uncle Remus, thanks for all your stories of Brer Fox, Brer Rabbit and Brer Bear 😢 thanks Disney for creating a ride that was based on this movie, it was a beautiful way to remember James Baskett legacy, even though he wasn't represented in the attraction 😔

Thanks for sharing, this ride is a joy from start to finish. Glad i was able to ride the WDW version in 2021 and create some memories. the new rethemed version may of the bones of this but its more than just the drop and thrill to me IMO it was different the animatronics telling the story vs projections showing the story.
Incredible job capturing each sequence of the ride. This is the best Splash Mountain musical video out there. Don’t know where you found the sound bits of the log clicking up the ramps, the splashes, and the echoey sounds of the songs? I’m working on a similar video myself

I’ll probably just keep calling it splash mountain. Maybe if they change the name to bayou mountain or frog mountain it would be better)
I love the California Splash Mountain, but Tokyo's Splash Mountain is just the best version in my opinion. While the Laughing Place scene, America Sings animatronics, and big band soundtrack are aspects California had that are better than Tokyo, some of the scenes in California just felt rushed because the log moves too fast and some scenes are too dark and certain elements are barely visible. In Tokyo, all the scenes are well lit, the log moves more slowly which allows you to really be immersed in the scenes, the outdoor segments have better sightlines, and the first drop is covered to prevent any sunlight from interfering with any of the lighting in the attraction. Also, the animatronics in Tokyo are always working and everything is just better maintained overall. The perfect Splash Mountain would be one that has the improved elements in Tokyo, California's laughing place, and a mix of the country and big band soundtracks (Outdoor: country, How do you do: country, laughing place outside cavern: country, laughing place cavern: big band, zip a dee doo dah outdoor: country, zip a dee doo dah indoor: big band).
