Good afternoon YL, I’m a 70 year young single man and I can understand your frustration. There are a lot of projects I would like to do in my house but like you I don’t have anyone to help me. If we lived near each other we could help each other. Good luck with your project if there’s anything I can help you with just let me know.

i hear your frustrations. if it makes you feel any better, i've got a pal i've roped ito helping me but they don't have the technical know-how either so we're just company for each other while we laugh at our mistakes and try to figure out a workaround.

What you said is why I keep telling my husband the things he thinks are "no big deal" when he fixes things around the house that its not "no big deal" because I'm like you. I dont know how to do these things. I can look it up but he just "knows how to do it". Or he has the strength to do it. I am super grateful that I have someone and you really brought that home. I also agree girls need to be in shop and guys need to be in homec. Guys dont know how to cook, clean or shop. And girls done know how to do home repair and auto repair. Its ridiculous! Best I can tell you about the screws is just make sure you pre drill your holes then your screws go where you want them to go. Depending on how much you plan to do with wood the best tool we bought was our power miter saw. We use it for everything and best of all I can use it myself with out help. At minute 8 just know you were getting a big virtual hug there. I have a garage to paint to but I am waiting till spring for it to warm up. I have to go in and out of it all Winter and I am afraid the paint wont dry properly and I dont want the smell in the house. But I cant wait to do it. Right now its green dry wall LOL Hang in there! Give yourself a bit of grace. You are doing it even if it doesn't feel very successful it really is. Plus you are learning so much. This job maybe hard but what you learn doing it will make the next one easier. We need like "buddy handymen". Or women doesn't really matter either way just people that can help with little things. Now you have "contractors". Everything is over priced and the quality of work is terrible. Anyways thank you for sharing your journey. See you in the next video!
