Kevin, I'm glad you saw Cambrills proper and changed your mind. A tip if a town has a marina/harbour looks at the quality of the boats, that tells you more about the place and Cambrills has expensive boats moored up. Cheers DougT
@@patrickmoran4171 oh hi there Patrick, it's nice to see wee Kevin made it to Salou. Trouble is Kev just expects all of Spain to be strips of bars and tapas joints otherwise he's disappointed for his viewing stats 😂 As for my mobility issues it's same no real change, so no Salou/Sitges or Canaries for who knows how long 🥺 Anyway nice of you to remember me and I hope you and family are doing great in Ireland or Eire (I forget where now) Cheers DougT
Not just Tossa itself, but the coves which are a few mile outside it. I was down there the week before last. It required a trek through a forest, but they were absolutely beautiful and as nice as the coves in Mallorca. Girona city is also stunning. Next time I'm in that region I want to check out Roses, Cadaqués and Besalú.
I know you mentioned you hadn't found an area which was just bars, rather than bar, shop, bar shop etc. I just wondered if you found the bars at the end of the beach? If you haven't, look up Lunatic bar and that will get you in the correct area. Lots of sea front bars, and there is a road leading off it which also has plenty of bars. Not maybe the Benidorm style bars but still a good area, especially in the evening.
That looks a nice place Kevin. Good luck in Barcelona, we love it but it’s very big and spread out. We stayed in Poblenou area about half hour walk (8 mins on metro) from centre. 😃
Hi Kevin we were in Cambrils about 10 years ago.but stayed just up the coast in La Pineda both beautiful and also nice and relaxing. Barcelona day trips can be arranged by street vendors at a reasonable price with an early start and return about 9pm ours Inc a trip to the Nou Camp .very reasonably priced about 1.15 hrs each way on the coach..Great thing about that area is its only 25 mins from Reus Airport . Enjoy this one .keep up the good work Peter n Irene x
Hi, new viewer here having searched for Salou videos to see what's it's like as was booked to visit next month. Having seen your reviews of both Salou and Cambrils I decided to swap my booking and cancelled Salou and booked in for Cambrils instead. Just wanted to let you know as I thought you reviewed both places brilliantly. Keep up the good work and I'm enjoying watching your journey around Spain this summer! Would recommend Madrid if you get the chance. My personal view is that it's better than Barcelona!
Every time we're in the area, we get the bus into Cambrils and walk back to Salou, usually stopping in Villafortuny for a pint. It's a lot larger than it first looks and has expanded back a lot since we first went there. It is way nicer than Salou but also a lot quieter. The bus into Barcelona is quite good to be honest but I think the train is quicker and cheaper. You might be best staying somewhere away from the centre because the prices are savage in the centre. If you're looking for an extra night somewhere, you might want to try La Pineda or even Tarragona but Sitges is beautiful.
Delighted you are on salou and cambrils..we go back for the 6th time in August to salou, love jt..so much to see and do! It is amazing for kids, the fountain show is amazing behind hiuse kf illusion at aboit 10pm and bosc aventura is in the park away down the opposite end from qjefe tou are staying is amazing for kids if you get to see it.. The bars on the beach at night are beautiful and there is a kids area across from Olympus palace hotel...
Best of both worlds in that area. Salou is fine, and plenty of bars etc. and if you feel the need for a bit more of a genuine Spanish atmosphere then Cambrils is a quick bus journey. I do like Cambrils, but I prefer to stay in Salou as I think I'd be bored if I actually stayed in Cambrils for my holiday.
Looks lovely and more my kind of place than Salou. Scenic, laid back and plenty of eateries. Vegas, not for me sorry Kevin, but I could be in the minority.
Never went to Cambrills. Looks nice but also looks like there's nothing to do there apart from admire the nice landscapes (I like activities on my holidays, would get bored otherwise). Maybe if I ever go back to Salou, but eh. I don't really think it looks that much better than Salou anyway personally, like almost or on par to me. Never ended up going to Barcelona either, quite the distance all things considered (2 hours in a train or something I think (1 hour via taxi but I wasn't paying those prices)). Not sure how long the busses take, but I assume a lot longer than the taxis. Did go to Tarragona tho, should go up there at some point. Pretty nice.
Hi Kevin, that resort looks nicer than Salou, we would be interested in Loret & Tossa de Mar if you have plans to go there. We wouldn't watch Las Vagas tbh, sorry! 😎🍻S&J 🐘
If you think Cambrils looks nicer than Salou, then don't ever consider going to Lloret de Mar. Tossa de Mar is lovely though. Salou is miles better than Lloret.
Fantastic kevin looks gorgeous never realised that the strip went that far down ,when we there we stopped and doubled back so cheers for showing
Great resort looks amazing😂
Looks amazing 😊
Thanks for showing Cambrils. I just knew it would be right up my street👍
Meant to add that I wouldn’t watch any vlogs on Vegas. Have no interest in it whatsoever, it’s not for me.
Another quality video Kevin. 👍🏻 By the way, what gimble/mic do you use? Thanks
Cambrils is lovely. Had my photo taken by that sign. Lovely in centre of town. Was there for market day. My teacup is sitting on a Cambrils coaster 😊
Beautiful Kev been here a few times also we liked Cap Salou. If your going to Barca you might catch James & Helen (The curb) they arrived today.
Cambrills is lovely ❤

Highly recommend you visit Tossa De Mar on the costa brava, the best little place of them all.....!!!
Not just Tossa itself, but the coves which are a few mile outside it. I was down there the week before last. It required a trek through a forest, but they were absolutely beautiful and as nice as the coves in Mallorca.

Sorry, talking Salou, not Cambrils.
You summed my holiday up perfectly. Chilling out. Nice place.💕

Thanks cambrills lovely very quiet resort compared to salou , think I have one more video there.

Nice Kev is it 4 miles from salou
Cambrils is beautiful , beach shoos and restaurants .

Barcelona is brilliant Kevin but it’s very expensive really is but beautiful place
Hi, could you give any suggestions of where to go in Tenerife, for christmas please.
Grupotel Gravina in Barcelona, Kevin. Stayed a couple of times in the past and was good value. Just off Las Ramblas.
PS. Very good breakfast.
Alicante is my fovorite for sommer vacation
Have you used enfe high speed rail Kevin Barcelona airport has a massive train station.
Villanova i la Geltru 🥰

You should try Sitges Kevin, even more beautiful and about 30 mins from Barcelona
It’s for gay people

Looks nice better than Benidorm. Stop off in Sitges, gorgeous place. No I wouldn’t be interested in Las Vegas. Thanks Kevin.
Have you tried Tarragona?
Not yet no time on this trip sorry
Bite the bullet kev. Book hotel next to or with bar showing the matches. Barso is a risky place at night in the centre.
Stay in the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona.

Thanks for the advice, it's 44 years since I was there so it's obv changed a bit! 😀
