    The waiter had the best line! Also Joey had the next best lines!
    Perfectly delivered!

    This is like the only time they actually aknowledged that it is financially tough to live in NYC with a normal job.

    I disliked this episode, due to the fact they all argued and in insulting ways, then held grudges. I will say that being it was Ross's idea to go celebrate Monica's promotion, he should have paid or Monica should have since she now has the extra money and it was her celebration. Or they would have each paid what they consumed.

      @@mirkomustapic3883 Well obviously it's a tv show, one puts themselves as if it were real, but I wouldn't say it was funny, but sad. except for the end with the Hootie and the Blowfish!! Lol

      @PS
      I hated this episode because Ross, Monica and Chandler had no sympathy for their friends who can't afford to be extravagant like them and threw it in their faces. They are not real FRIENDS!

    Honestly, I feel like Joey, Phoebe and Rachel were horrible this episode. Ok, the other 3 didn't realize money was an issue for them, but once they did, they tried to be more accommodating and do something nice. They were the one's who decided to throw a hissy fit over it, then whine when Ross, Monica and Chandler had more fun then them. Just because they're poor doesn't mean they have a right to poor attitude

      It might be because they felt it like pity and charity, and charity feels too much like pity. They simple asked to adress that they should cut it out a little, but then the others jumped into "compensation".

      @kezia-lemonthorne2507 I think the original commenter is referring to how the richer three had fun with the band and when it was reavealed the other three acted out as if they hadn't invited them even bought them tickets which they rejected because, yes as you said, that felt like charity instead of understanding they wanted. What I am trying to say is they kept their pride by rejecting the pity tickects (nice) but then they got angry that the other three had fun usuing the said tickets which was unfair to Ross, Monica and Chandler

      When someone is the reason for a celebration, they have to foot the bill not the others, similar to bday party or bachelor party so here Monica or Ross should have footed the bill
