  • This is my review video of the Tron 5.8 R/C Helicopter. The Good and the Bad. I actually made the review video several months ago but it wasn't until the Bad happened that I finally decided to edit the video and upload how good it just might be.

Ya, I couldn't agree more... flight footage really does add a lot... need to start bringing my gopro head mount or try and find someone who can follow a heli halfway decent with a camera. Sometimes that last one is really hard to find.

Thank you for posting the video. I added a few comments for the viewers.
01:16: Lack of ugly boom supports also means this bird looks pretty bas ass. Never will I ever purchase a helicopter with boom supports ever again.
01:42: The Supersonic quick release knobs on the rear work superbly well, but I recommend replacing the front canopy studs with XL Power magnetic mounts for the front canopy studs.
04:21: The 2-stack air frame does not only make the lower frame "sacrificial", but it also makes the upper part of the frame more mechanically responsive.
05:17: You hit the nail on the head discussing tail belt "tensioners". They are great for tail belt newbees, but once you get comfortable setting the tail belt tension mechanically, tail belt tensioners or indicators are not very useful, or even useless. This video shows how I set the tail best tension: th-cam.com/video/gXdswOXobUo/w-d-xo.html

Overall a lot of good design elements seem to have gone into this machine and it shows during assembly, to flight characteristics, to ways to save during those times when gravity wins.
