Man I would sleep so good listening to that water all night. Creeks and rain are the most peaceful sleeping conditions. I see the babies are ready for some fun in the wilderness...

The sound of a river rushing over rocks is truly Music of the Gods! Not to mention the fact that is is better than any sleeping pill on the market. 5+ years ago there was a huge fire in the Willamette National Forest in central Oregon. The burnt trees are still visible but in the last 3 years Mother Nature has done much to heal and hide the burn scars that were so gut wrenching right after it happened. Glad Felix was able to make it to camp and ya'll enjoy the camp.

Georgia mountains are beautiful. Old stomping grounds in summertime on Lake Burton, Clayton and Tallullah Gorge. Georgia girl born and raised. You got some great footage of the river and super camp site. Brought back a wonderful time in my childhood. Thank you and stay safe!
Sandy Bottoms is my absolute FAVORITE place in the whole world!!! Number 10 is always my favorite spot. Been camping there for 46 years and will do it until God say's can't. Always love getting up on Sunday and attending church @ Valley Community Church in Tate City.

When Felix pulled in it was so cute the way Foxy Lady was peeking out of the window. Boy your little ones sure love Felix a lot. Baby MaeMae is very sweet on Felix... they all are. Felix and Baby MaeMae have a very special bond. I had all but given up on getting out of her shell. A year ago when I met Felix she took a shine to him and he was able to help her tremendously.
That is wonderful. Isn't it amazing how different people can help when we have tried everything and all they have to do is just come into their life. Dogs are so amazing. God really gave us a gem when he gave us dogs. Thanks for sharing. Have a great one. Love Joyce

So much beauty! Even with some of the burnt spots! Isn't it funny how we have our favorite camp sites in campgrounds? It's sad when they are occupied but at least there's an empty spot available! Sad where the fire took part of the forest, but you still have a great place to camp.. I love the sound of a river and the quiet of the forest in the background. I have been putting off the trip because of what I might find. It was bad, but the forest is coming back fast. I would have hate to been trapped in there with it.

So so sad to see all the fire damage. Makes me sad for all the animals that went through that. Such beautiful area. It really makes me miss Idaho, my original home where I was born and raised the first 14 yrs of my life and summer for a long time after that. Lots of beautiful places in the mountains like that.

Beautiful peaceful spot beside stunning river. interesting how FAST the growth is coming back after the fire - would be interesting to see how the plant polariton changes after the fire but I guess you'll soon be on your way

Water is really running! All of our rivers and streams are running high and fast in my area. We've had massive flooding as well, thankfully we weren't affected, but sadly many were. Water is beautiful but deadly as well. Hopefully you & Felix had a great time camping at the river !!!
Beautiful footage and gorgeous camp site! Your babies are so well behaved, just sitting there watching you getting the fire wood and not leaving the rv. I've got to train my dog to do that. Stay seems to be her hardest command. Thanks for the video.

I loved the shot were you got out to show the rapids there and pointed back at the van and Tucker had his head out the window "Hey Dad this is noisy, you don't plan on hanging here too long do ya?" That terrain is beautiful . I have never seen that part of Georgia . I have only seen what can be seen from I-95 and I-75 . Guess I'll have to take a trip one day and take a look . Thanks for taking me along for the ride 😉

Just drove through Georgia a week ago stayed in South Carolina and visited Savanna on the way back home to Wisconsin. Very nice scenery. Would like to come back down and explore the area more. Great shots of the river and water falls. So calming. Take care Kevin.

Its good to see you are not a fair weather camper Kevin. As you have seen from the comments, we who are not on the East Coast really enjoy seeing what I consider "REAL CAMPGROUNDS" I will and have went out of my way to stay in a State or National Park or Corps of Engineers Campground rather than stay in a YUPPIE Campground.

I love your babies and Felix's baby! I'm pretty sure this is the campground I passed on my way back from Atlanta where I had surgery. I saw the campground from the highway above the river and said, "I want to camp there someday". I was watching some cargo hauler/RV conversion videos on TH-cam and this video from you showed up. I'm now subscribed so I can watch whatever you post. You're making me jealous 'cause I want to head out on the highway and enjoy the outdoors! Northern Georgia is awesome. I have camped in Tallulah Gorge State Park but this looks much more secluded and quiet. Thanks for sharing.
Tallulah Gorge State Park is not for me. Its fine to see once, but I have no intentions on going back.

You gotta do the seasonal thing - Winter in the West and Summer in the East! This makes me wanna get over my fear of driving on narrow roads going up a mountain side! (and its a serious fear! I am Canadian and live in the province of Ontario. Our brothers and sisters in B.C. and Alberta know all about the devastation of forest fires and floods. I imagine you feel the same way. That is such a beautiful campsite with the creek. I remember that being one of your favorite spots. Sorry you had the rain to contend with. Tucker look like he was your co-pilot driving in. Those views of the swift waters is beautiful. Glad you guys had a getaway weekend. By the way, yrs ago my aunt & uncle set up a roadside vegetable stand with a scale and a box similar to your wood sales guy. They always said they pretty much collected what they put out there. They would pre weigh and knew what was there. They lived on old hwy 90 west of Covington, La. Its nice to know that tradition still lives on.
my father used to sell fish bait that way. He used an old cigar box. He told me very rarely did it get stolen. People made their own change with money in box and got their bait.

I've camped and fished in that same area. Love it there! Still no electric, water other than hand pump Kevin? Oh, that old boy setting up tent in rain? Yep, I've done that, still would. Just love being in God's great creation!
no power, just vault toilets and hand pump for water. up to 15 a night now... no end in sight. hear its going up again.........

Love the scenery, GA looks beautiful. I have two cousins in GA and never been there myself. One came from Maine and one from NY, both never left LOL That says something about the place I guess! Kevin, you make me want to camp in Georgia. I'm busy RV out west but when I head back east, I'm definitely spending major time in your state.
I'd take that backyard any day. Doesn't it feel horrible to see the places you've grown up in that has been through a fire. I live close to Tahoe and it was so heartbreaking to go back up after there was a severe fire. It is amazing how resilient the forest is. How do you have those adorable babies so well trained??
