Can’t believe I watched this 4 years ago and this whole series and wanted to revisit 17 bc 19 was a big stepping stone and 22 willl be even more for me
25 is about to be out but i just wanted to remember what 17 was like
It was saying there's no room to spawn the vehicles needed for that field because your pickup is in the way. Pretty sure all those fields could've been worked on, you just have to park a bit further away from the working area.

Yup. It literally told him there was no room for the mission vehicles to spawn and to please move his truck. Sometimes people make things so much harder than they have to be because they're in such a hurry they can't be bothered to take the three seconds to read the instructions that are telling them exactly what the problem is.

yes, it's hidden but it's LB and dpad left or right.
Dagger, did you see that your own equipment (the pickup) was in the way of the mission vehicles, so park a bit further away from the blue thing, and i think you'd be fine

The first field that you get to around the 1:48 mark, the reason you can't do anything to the field is because the truck is in the way/area where the vehicle would spawn to do the work. Just move your truck out of the way to start the contract. I found this out after a little trial and error and using your vid as a guide. Great tutorials and keep up the good work!!

Seriously Daggerwin, you need to pay attention to what the dialogs say. There were jobs at those fields but you parked your truck where the vehicles were going to spawn.

The best part of this video is that you drive around and check for jobs and dont actually read the message you get "No space for mission vehicles" because the pickup is parked there, i laughed at every point you stopped! +1!

As many of you might know, that I'm one of the guys behind CoursePlay for fs13-fs15.
About
a week ago Giants contacted Thomas Gärtner (The other CP developer) if
there were anything they could do to help with, porting CP over to FS17.
We
made some suggestions, like getting the script documents before time,
so we could start looking into what have been changed since last time,
but that we still would have to wait until the game was released. Since
all out testing is done in-game, and without an early access version of
the game, it would hold us back.
We then got an reply back from
Giants saying that an early access version was not really possible, but
they had another great idea. They invited Thomas and myself over to
Zurich for a couple of days in the launch week (24th to 26th October)
with flight and hotel paid and only needed to get the days off from
work.
That way they can help porting it over to FS17 with there
scripters and help making optimisations for it as well + we will have
access to the full game script while we are there.
Unfortunate
Thomas can't go because of his work, but I was lucky to get those days
off from work, which means: I'M GOING TO ZURICH
I'm really happy about it and is looking forward to meet the guys behind Farming Simulator.

Dagger you are my favorite you tuber. You inspired me to play new games because I didn't like farm sim but now I'm pre ordering farm sim 17 and I played farm sim 15. I wish I could play with you but I'm on the Xbox one. Keep up the good work and stay real :)

I’m not sure, but I think this is the first ever video of your channel I have watched. I will update this if I find a video earlier than this one that I can remember. I do believe I have seen some farming simulator 15 videos from you. Just crazy to think that farming simulator 22 is about to come out in five minutes, it’s 11:55 for me. Yet here I am re-watching a very old video, Definitely worth it!
I dont want to sound like a Richard (figure it out) but at 29:00 you say things will fall into disrepair and will be priceless. Priceless means invaluable, of so much worth a price cannot be named. You meant worthless. But anyway. Keep on cracking on. I love your videos. So much so that sometimes I play FS while listening to you go on about things in the background. To all new players or people who like Farming Games like me (mostly Farming Simulator), you can now drive trains in FS17 which is the first time in forever! Just like this song from Disney's Frozen: "For the first time in forever!"

this is the kind of game i would joke around with my friends about playing buuuut... after seeing it on steam, playing a few simulators recently and truly enjoying them, and seeing hours of game play, i find myself truly wanting to get this game! ill probably buy it in the morning. hopefully i can convince my cousin to play with me, he may be the only one i know who may like this game.

I can tell you that with the bit of experience I have had working as a farm hand, to make that kind of money you would need to fertilize a field that's roughly almost 8X the size of the one in the game, assuming you use your own equipment too ;)
P.S. Milage may very depending on state/owner/etc
after you save your first game go to my documents > my games > farming simulator > savegame1 then open careersavegame with notepad pres Ctrl+F find next till you find your money ingame then change it to how many millions or billions or trillions you want :)
Daggerwin its because you park where the contract equipment is supposed to spawn - Read the text :) Nice job tho, like your play style!!
in the first field all you had to do was move your truck because there wasnt room for the equipment
all you had to do was read and see that you had to move your truck because the equipment required for the mission had no space to spawn

Lease a loading wagon and drive it straight into the barn...unload and $$$$$
You can mod tractors at the sell point, at the store. Or can buy a place-able shop to mod them.
You need to fast forward all the driving more often
I Dont know If anyone has mentioned this, but the reason for the "milage" counter is in hours is because Heavy machinery like planes and tractors actually measure their work time - hours. So I imagine it was easyer for the developers to set the same measurement for the pickup too. :) (sorry for spelling mistakes, not from an english speaking country)

Hey dagger, I've got a tip for you. When you are doing stuff for other people like harvesting, you need to remove your gear that you drove in out of the road because you can always do a job on someones field.

Daggerwin fyi to customize I believe u need to buy the workshop (which would be a good addition for future) then u can change stuff with the tractor

With placeable sheds and storage etc and the ability to plow fields it gives the option to almost create/build your own farm set up exactly how you like. Such an improvement over FS15

This is rather annoying. You keep going from field to field looking for a mission. Yet you fail you see the big text in the middle. "No space for mission vehicles, Please remove your equipment". 3 fields in a row.
not sure if its mentioned in the comments. ALL fields have missions if you havent done one recently. The error you are getting is because you are parking your pickup truck in the way. Park it to the side, and you'll always get a mission.

When you're doing missions of stuff and you stop driving with the cab view and just watch a more overhead view it's easier to not miss spots and get your mission done faster and better to get a better time bonus.

Any vehicles used for farming, mining, etc are measured in hours usually - because it is measured that way for resale purposes :) It basically gives an indication of how much work has been done with the vehicle

To be honest, your knowledge of the actual ways of plowing (especially) and farming are quite low.. AT least the way you do it is pretty much 60 % wrong way compared to Finnish way :P
Maybe I just use different techniques to other countries...I am not a farmer anyway

I like watching these and he's not a farmer by any means, but I just wanted to point it out :p
How do you plow in Finland? Also, how do you go about making square fields, when the plow is angled like that? I always had that problem in the last one.
First of all 60% of the fields aren't actually square. The way I start plowing is the opposite way dagger just did, I'll leave a "ditch" on the sides So it's easier to see the "borders" of the field when raking or seeding. So basically when you look at the video, look the way dagger plow is turned, I've got it exactly the opposite way in the start.
When we reach the end of the field we won't just plow till the end because there is 90% of the time there's a decently deep ditch. So we'll drive till the front wheels are almost in the ditch, reverse, turn around and continue onto next pass. That's the way we do it with turning plows. I don't know how to explain it any more clear, but the part which is not plowed it the ends of the field, will be plowed the opposite direction compared to the passes before the last pass. So After all this the whole field is plowed all the way till the ditches and there's the ditch which the plow leaves (the one we have our other sides wheels in when doing passes) on every side so it's easier to see the "borders" when raking and seeding etc. it also looks a lot better that way.

Since yesterday's first look at '17, this version of the game is definitely growing on me. There are some nice refinements, plenty of vehicles and equipment to choose from. It is going to be a lot tougher making money quickly in this game ,but that is for the better. I am looking forward to the next episode.

Mickyboy Mick Yes a lot of kiddies crying waaaah the gfx aren't AWESOME like Infinite warfare or it's the same as FS15. But if you have more patience than the average toddler you'll soon see the wealth of subtle improvements.

now that I'm getting into your FS17 series, I do have to say this was a good video.
I think that the red bulb inside the Case may be the indicator for the starter coil. Basically on those smaller older tractors, you have to hold the ignition to HEAT until the coil - in older tractors - or the light - in newer tractors - lights up. Then you can start the engine. Don't know for sure, but that's my guess. May not be shown in-game though.
I'm glad to see they seem to have fixed the issue with helpers missing little patches at the edge of fields. I always found that quite annoying in earlier versions.
Dagger love your videos man however when making a turn on a multilane road you should be in the lane closest to the turn you're making. IE if you're making a right turn you should be in the right lane and if you're going to make a left turn you should be in the left lane. Cutting across lanes going the same direction as you in the states is a huge fine. But keep up the good work
By the way the prize is Per 1000 liters not tons because the weight of the crop depends on the moisture and the actual crop.
Would be cool if giants added an actual gearbox system into the game, The saitek thing would have a clutch pedal, 6 gears, splitter, reverse gear or a forward-reverse shuttle. 2 actual joysticks for using the forestry equipment like a crane, I really do use those things 10 times faster with 2 actual joysticks with the needed control buttons, we got a tractor forwarder and quite a lot of forest so I've used it quite a lot
Just as a tip in real life the articulated trailers are easier to reverse if you can hook them up to the front end of a tractor
when at the shop dagger, there is a vehicle workshop, when you go as if you're selling a vehicle, it gives the option to customize a vehicle. only leased equipment cannot be customized. just a helpful hint

haahaah, yeah 11:15 in Fs09 when the big New Holland harvester (mod) The beacon reflected over the all :D And it lagged sooo hard :D But nice video Dagger, cant wait for another video :)

Im looking forward to the game and im also looking forward to the GPS mod. In My opinion there should be a option to turn on GPS it is very important. It goes so much faster when you have GPS mod on

Dagger the first 2 fields DID have work to be done,but your truck was in the way of the equipment!!
You can customize tractors before or afterwards to do it afterwards go to the shop drive into the manual selling square and there will be an option to customize or sell
So glad they made the fields more expensive. Then you have to really save up to make that investment. In FS15 ect. You had to do about one harvest and you could afford one. It feels like a more long term investment.
in diesel vehicles they will have a glow light and when that goes out you can start your tractor or truck that might be what that red light is
The message on those fields you thought there was no contract work on was that your vehicle was blocking the spawn point for the hardware for doing the job.
If you'd moved the truck it would have given you work.
Just so you know, at the start you were driving around looking for missions, i saw that on most of them it said "No space for mission vehicles. Please remove your equipment."
Which i guess means you parked your truck where the mission vehicles are supposed to spawn in :P

the sound of the case tractor is amazing
you either have to equip a front loader when you buy the shop or you have to buy a workshop in placebles and drive the tractor to the workshop and then you can modify the tractor

The red light bulb is for the handbrake, on a farm I am working on they have an old MF 250 and it got one of those lights, and when you put the handbrake on it lights up
hey daggerwin we have the case tractor down at our farm. that red lite is for things that are low such as oil pressure or the battery
The red light in the dash is a warning for when u have the tow bar down on the 1455
