I would say that this was the best song he ever wrote. Despite his contemporaries (Slash/CC Deville/Van Halen/Norum/Mars etc) I would put Richie as more thoughtful. The lyrics to this are testament to this. A truly heartwarming song. I want to learn it to play it to my friends children one day...
