Met them on the Hide and Seek tour in Atlanta. Great people and might I add they all had awesome personas. The vibe they gave out as a band is one I've never felt before. Just fucking awesome!

I wasn't a goth, but some goth friends introduced me to "alternative" music, i.e. stuff that you didn't hear all the time, and only saw on late night video shows (e.g. Bauhaus, Siouxsie, Clannad, Cocteau Twins, Kate Bush, Front 242, Skinny Puppy, Wall of Voodoo, Shriekback, Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim, Dead Can Dance, The Cult, The Cure, The Mission, Love and Rockets). I know a lot about the mainstream and alternative artists of the time, and I've been listening to TBM since 2007. I don't think they would have been any more popular in the '80s than they are now. They are too creative, too original and unique, too true to their sound and vision, and too goth. And frankly, too Canadian: besides Bryan Adams and Celine Dion, most "popular" Canadian '80s artists were only popular within Canada. TBM would have definitely been "alternative," about as well-known as that other stupendous Canadian electronic/synth-rock band of the time, Skinny Puppy: the secret treasure of small groups of real music lovers, scattered across the country.

They will never know how important they are to me. The first time I listened to them was in 2005, and I was just a kid in Brazil. I got instantly hooked. My life was sh*t back then (still kinda is), and their songs helped me through a lot. I still have my original copy of Violet, and every time I listen to it, it's like a trip back in time. I really love the mood their songs bring me. Love u TBM

one of the things i love about this band is that, there are some musicians you love for their sound in general, but there are some musicians whose music has such a powerful sound, and it literally gives off an actual energy you can feed off of when you listen to it, The Birthday Massacre has that power, they have that ability. it's incredible! i could drift into sleep listening to this song. imagine what those guys in that room must've felt while playing the song, must've been surreal

Yes! I heard a few songs, but when I actually started listening to the band I became enamored with the sound. My soul felt these vibrations that put in like another plane. It's just music, yeah, but it made me feel something. I was captivated.

Such a good band, I’ve been listening to them since I was 15 and I’m 30 now. Been to 9 shows and met them a bunch of times in the crowd and after shows. Of All the bands I have seen live, the birthday massacre is the only one were the members have stayed wholesome and dedicated to their style of music and fans. Always nice and never have failed me musically. I will NEVER quit this band. Seeing them in a April this year, so cheers to another! Boom.
Birthday Massacre has such a beautiful mixture of sounds and emotions I love Chibis voice it's so dream like and the lyrics are very interesting and thought provoking
Every sound in their music is magical
When this album dropped, this instantly became my favorite song. I was able to catch tickets for a concert in March 2022 and Superstition being the opener made me so so happy! 💜
Just discovered these guys, really nice sound. Have an 80's feel to them, good singing & blend of instruments.

It has been almost 10 years since I first dug up this band on Google video. Yet each release still manages to capture a sense of nostalgia for a time I never lived, that only music of this purity can convey with it's atmosphere. Thank you for the new music video, I can't wait to see you all again someday, and of course, hear any future releases.

Mine was Blue. I first heard it when playing a mod of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines and I was so thankful that I did.

The author of that mod (likely Zer0morph) likely got the idea from a fan-made Bloodlines music video that came out shortly after the game was released. I was also introduced to TBM from that fan-made Bloodlines video. Another friend of mine who does Source Film Maker "art" using Bloodlines models often plays TBM in his live streams while he's working. No doubt quite a few people were introduced to this band through Bloodlines videos and mods.
Yeah, that name sounds familiar, it was probably his mod. It was Camarilla Edition.
I'm friends with him on fb and asked him about the song. He said someone in the Team Camarilla forum turned him onto them and decided it needed to be played in The Asylum. I think he also uses it in The Final Nights, which is also awesome.
there are so many sick beats on this album. like, i'd totally get down at a club to this. i think that's part of what makes tbm's music unique - that untouchable combination of the best aspects of industrial/metal/what have you and incredible synth magic.

I like the fact they are bunch of friends who made a band together their not corporate or sell outs that what I love about The Birthday Massacre they are about the music not about the fame. I've been a fan since they first started with their first album Violet in 2004 they haven't made a bad album that is rare in a band.

This is now firmly one of my favourite songs. I love the video (the artwork on the walls is pretty awesome too) and i love the song to bits, cant stop listening to it. THM have become a favourite of mine after me finding them recently through communion after dark and ive now rushed out and bought all of the albums (hard to find in the UK but you can get them if you look hard enough). Having looked back at earlier vids and pics i love that the look is maturing and the changes are really suiting the various band members.

I've gotten 2 tattoos with imagery from TBM for my daughters and even given my youngest the middle name "Violet" so needless to say I am a fan... but this is my first time listening to this song and all I could thing was Cyndi Lauper "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" when Chibi starts singing...
Earlier this year I think is when I found them. Blue was the first video/song i listened to. I love them now and Chibi's voice is like an angel whispering to me. She's very beautiful. I like the Dark horror vibe in their music. And the tattoos sound awesome. I want one too but I'm chicken lol.
