It's always heartwarming seeing someone obviously of high skill level and experience just give out their knowledge for free in the world. Thank you Richard!

Thank you for making this. There were a lot of pieces of info I found invaluable to my learning of mini painting

I love the first few models from any kit, where I'm getting my "formula" for that unit figured out. I find it relaxing to paint a few "basic" units to a high quality like this, and then take my "lessons learned" to a batch paint for the remainder of that unit. Where can a highlight become a drybrush? Where can contrast/speed paint step reduce shading steps? Which parts of the model need careful attention? You really get to learn the quirks of painting a unit when you take your time on the first model or two, and as an added bonus, you always have a great model to pick out for inspection when someone asks for a closer look!

First of all, I really love Richard Grays videos. He has a pleasant voice, the videos aren‘t rushed as some others are, everything is explained rather clearly with few exceptions. I‘m a huge fan.
Secondly though, putting a title on these videos that starts with ‚How to‘ seems a bit misleading to me. Richard Gray doesn‘t paint miniatures. He paints oil paintings, using miniatures as his canvas. Compared to what he does, regular miniature painting is nothing more than painting by the numbers. I will be able to paint like that the day I receive my bionic vision and gyroscopic hand stabilization upgrades, on top of a bucket of talent juice.
So in my opinion, a more appropriate title for these videos would be ‚Richard Gray paints X, watch it and weep.‘

I think there’s nothing wrong spending as much time on army painting as you do with a golden demon entry

I love this color palette! I was looking for a unique combinations for my League of Votann squats. Just for painting. Not an army. I was thinking of doing the armor in the incubi darkness scheme and the cloth with the xereus purple with fire dragon bright. Think that'll work? Your videos are inspirational!
