I know this comment thread is old, but let me educate you armchair generals out there: the fact that Ghana is using older weapons does not limit their effectiveness. These weapons still have spare parts. You don’t need to have the most expensive gun with a fuck ton of optics in order to be effective. Well trained soldiers with competent commanders will win the day. They use m16a2 rifles and G3 rifles as their main infantry firearms. Neither are any less effective due to their age. Just because they aren’t walking around with expensive new weapons doesn’t mean they can’t kick ass when necessary
With such a weak army , should any country decide to attack Ghana, all will be dead. Ranking 108 out of 137 in firepower. No submarines, attack or fighter jets. Government should start spending more on defense. It's not good at all.

@@Randomuniverse-qn6cc They are extremely old. The M16 rifles they are using were replaced years ago in the US. They have made newer ones but it seems the soldiers in the video are using the old Vietnam war era rifles from the 70s. They have the old iron sights with no rails.
Bruh, even with optics you won't shoot beyond 900 metres. They're not snipers. Most armies used iron sights or are still using it. You can work up to 300 metres with proper training. And that's enough for most combat situations.
