Beryl was an anomaly also breaking records for earliest cat 4 and 5 in a season. The dust was there, but Beryl managed to form and develop just below it. Talk about the perfect storm of conditions that it potentially had so much going against it but still snuck by to cause so much damage in the Caribbean and mainland US
