Peep , X , and then Juice , were my biggest musical inspirations when i was younger. It was heartbreaking and a wake up call about life when they all passed. They helped me through so much.
This style of rap has kinda always been around but x and peep were the pioneers at really popularizing in the underground then people like juice, lil uzi and others made it a mainstream sound

seen a few of your vids now, honestly great reaction and analysis, my favourite project by peep is Lil Peep Part One, his first proper release in 2015, which is amazing throughout, very raw and dark, i’d also suggest Changes, which is a collaboration with Meeting by Chance, which has such a different feel to any of his other work, it’s very lo-fi, chill and smooth compared to peeps usually raw catalogue
I’ve been a fan of lil peep since 2015 before he died. I’d say it’s emo rap there’s definitely rock influences which I love. I’d say it’s goth too, his group was called GothBoiClique. He’s got some great music I’d definitely recommend part 2 and hellboy

Lil Peep PART ONE is probably his best album in my opinion at least, it was his first proper release as well I believe, like polished and put together I mean. It has more of a indie, ambient and moody vibe, but still very raw and real. Not as "rock" sounding as Come over when you're sober but still amazing.
Something a little different I think it'd be interesting to see your guys reaction to is "lilscoom89, Nightmares Over East: See No Evil Edition" This guy also recently passed but he was part of an emerging american drill scene.
If you want more moody, trap/guitar vibes, check out Peeps mixtape “Live Forever”. Very underrated in my opinion. Dark as hell but some of the most creative production I’ve ever heard. And I think he had interesting, strong lyricism. Would love if y’all checked it out
