Drivers are so ignorant the law in the United States is drive in the rightmost lane except while passing in every single state has that law.
aggressive driving is aggressive driving even if you're not speeding or changing lanes. Traffic safety is important and it is and has been a regular practice of mine to report excessively unsafe drivers that endanger my life driving illegally on the road. If you speed past me that doesn't hurt me. I worry about people that tap their brakes on the interstate. I worry about people that are traveling the same speed right next to other vehicles instead of in their Lane ahead of them are behind them or passing them or letting them pass. I worry about a lot of things that are dangerous but I report what threatens me equal to pulling out a gun on the roadway. I report some extreme aggressive drivers but the main aggressive driving that I report is intentional passive aggressive driving. Aggressive driving is aggressive driving even if you're not speeding. Aggressively driving slowly and refusing to get out of people's way that IS ILLEGAL AGGRESSIVE DRIVING.
I report it and I have a TH-cam channel a police enforcing this. come see it just look up "passive aggressive driving" and you'll find in there amongst others posting police statements and cases videos of enforcement against aggressive drivers such as lane hogs.
Heaping right except while passing is the law and aggressively blocking traffic is aggressive driving!!! Stop being an aggressive driver and trying to ignorantly claim that speeding is in and of itself a form of aggressive driving ticket.
Driving the rightmost lane except while passing and give way to right-of-way and stop claiming that you have rights on the roadway none of us absolutely none of us have one single right of any type on the roadway there's no such thing as a driving right you do not have any rights on the roadway you only have obligations to get out of the way but there is no such thing as a legal stance for holding your ground on the roadway it is specifically illegal keep right except to pass stop generating road rage yourself stop driving illegally in dangerously yourself keep right except the pass and never impede faster traffic. it is illegal! You've all heard it but nowhere in the law does it say unless that traffic is speeding so stop making up your own laws keep right except to pass do not impede faster traffic do not be a road ranger and do not be an aggressive driver including passive aggressive driving

FHP have always been on the forefront of Traffic Enforcement and it is VERY MUCH NEEDED. They need to double the size of the FHP. DeSantis or whomever is in the Office of Governor of Florida needs to allocate as much money as possible to the FHP to not only hire more Troopers (which are needed all through the State), but also to increase the amount of "Stealth", special enforcement, and unmarked vehicles. Traffic has gotten so out of control in America post COVID that you take your life in your hands every time you drive on any roadway. People cut you off frequently now, talking on the cell phone or texting (which is an epidemic on our roadways that needs to be curbed but is still out of control), speeds are frequently in the 100 MPH range more than ever now days, people just driving like lunatics. I was a cop for 31 years and I have never seen anything like the way people drive now days. They think it's their right to drive however they feel like with absolutely no regards for our traffic laws whatsoever. They don't car about any other vehicle on the road or even if the police are working enforcement. They still do it. Law Enforcement across the entire Country are trying to combat this crazy driving behaviors which has gotten much much worse over the past 10 to 15 years, but it seems even more so after COVID. Law Enforcement funding should be increased nation wide to allow all agencies including municipal, Sheriff, and Highway Patrol/State Police to get more unmarked and 'stealth' vehicles on our highways and local roadways including residential areas. These vehicles are the nations best defense against these dangerous and aggressive drivers. No one likes to get a ticket, but tickets are an effective tool to remind people to follow the law. It's not hard, it just takes a little effort folks. Laws are for all of our safety out there. I've seen so many terrible terrible wrecks in my career and almost every single one of them could have been avoided if the other person had just simply followed the law. And that's a fact. It's just people's attitude. They simply think they can do absolutely anything they want. They need to get a courtesy coupon (AKA Traffic Citation) every once in a while to remind them there are laws in place. Another area that needs funding is for Automatic License Plate Readers. They are one of the most effective ways to get bad people off the street. I spent 31 years as a Traffic Enforcement Officer & Deputy Sheriff. I was a Crash Reconstructionist for the majority of my career and also worked aggressive driving enforcement for that entire time as well. I made literally thousands upon thousands of traffic stops in my career and for the last five years or so I was fortunate to be able to use a License Plate Reader in my unmarked vehicle and it was without a doubt THE MOST incredible tool ever developed for Law Enforcement to help capture criminals. It allowed me to identify a lot of people that shouldn't have been driving on the roads. Many wanted persons, suspended and revoked drivers. stolen cars, federal fugitives. Every Law Enforcement vehicle in America should be equipped with ALPR (Automatic License Plate Readers). I was getting so many hits on my plate reader that I couldn't stop them fast enough. It's an incredible technology for Law Enforcement and a huge asset to any State Trooper, Officer, or Deputy, I assure you. Equipping all Law Enforcement Vehicles with ALPR would be one of the most effective ways to reduce crime because it quickly identifies bad people that shouldn't be driving on our roads and shouldn't be in our communities across America. Keep up the great work FHP, you are one of the most professional Law Enforcement agencies in America! And one of the most effective I have ever seen in enforcement of traffic rules and regulations.

speeding is dangerous, but if you have a badge and off duty then speeding is not so dangerous. there are videos all on youtube with officials speeding and that is considered acceptable because of the badge. Celebrities even get passes sometimes. There are lots of videos of wealthy guys on youtube speeding across the country with no fear of police writing them tickets. Why is it that all the guys that do cannonball run or white guys. I can tell you why that is. The reason is if a black or hispanic (who is non-white in appearance) was caught doing that he would be judged back to 7th grade, be a thug and would get so much prison time that you would never see him again. A white guy doing cannonball run and plow a family and kill them would be reported as doing what he loved and is passionate about his "sport" of endurance and skill of high speed driving. He would probably get off on affluenza

FHP needs to be improved. Tonight there was a drunk driver on I4 eastbound going towards orlando. I gave them location and details by calling *fhp. This driver was all over the road. Going into half of right lane almost hitting cars along with a tour bus, then started weaving into left shoulder. Called several times with location. Driver finally hit a guardrail on left shoulder and stayed there for at least 5 minutes. Again on the phone, I parked on shoulder far back - again nothing.
I was told if driver took off to call 911. Called when driver took off, they told me not to follow, but I had missed my exit anyways.
Followed for a few miles until I could turn around, nothing!
I have this footage on my dash cam along with my calls recorded with cam.
20 minutes total, nothing. Does your news channel want the footage, or should I post it on TH-cam myself?
I handed them a severely intoxicated driver to them on a silver platter, nothing done.
They say dial *fhp for aggressive or intoxicated drivers, why?
I log over 40,000 miles on I4 every year and always report unsafe drivers, have not seen any results. Will quit calling them now.
Their last response was troopers were handling several accidents in the area. Really, this driver could have caused a multi vehicle accident with fatalities. 70 mph plus bouncing all over road like a pinball.
Maybe I would have got a better response if I told them I was transporting a kilo of Marijuana and a box of donughts!
Btw, don't know how much a kilo of pot is, and if it would fit in my van, lol.
