    It is very instructional to see how you bring harmony out of chaos. It is an encouragement for me to keep going through the chaos of my own paintings.
    Note: there was one branch that was broken when you put snow on the roof. I kept waiting for you to paint it back in. 😂 I really like this painting.

    I use a glass cutting board but I just now saw a short video where the artist put the glass cutting board inside the Masterson StayWet palette. Wow, what a great idea. He also gave a tip on how to close the lid more easily -- line up the 4 corners first to make sure it is in alignment and then snap all the sides down. He also leaves a wet sponge inside of it to help keep the paint wet for the next painting session. I wonder if putting it in the frig would help, too?

    • @GebahiArtworks
      @GebahiArtworks  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, this will work as well! Also the sponge in a StayWet palette will keep the paint workable for a good while!

      @@GebahiArtworks Yes, I have done that, too. I also use the special paper that came with the StayWet palette. I've thought about trying parchment paper, too, as that costs less, but it probably wouldn't be as good.

    I really love this one! And painting snow in this heat is refreshing! This reminds me of my former home in Massachusetts. You make it look so easy, I am definitely doing this one. Thank you! I would ask as well that the reference photo be more visible if possible, although your interpretation is fabulous.

    I’m going to try this, although it does look difficult for me! You certainly surprise me with every painting at how wonderful you are…and your teaching is great too! I have a question about paint, if not allowed just let me know. I usually use SOHO along with some other colors by Golden. Lately I have seen adds for another company, Nova Color Paint out of Oregon I think. Do you have any experience with them? Again, that you for your excellent studies!

    • @GebahiArtworks
      @GebahiArtworks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you!! It looks difficult initially until you try it, as you keep trying your honing your skills! As for the paint, I’ve never tried that brand before nor heard of them. I’ll have to look into it. There’s nothing wrong with mixing Soho and golden, use what you have, unless your selling your paintings, then I wouldn’t use much of the Soho! Two other brands of acrylics that are really good are Matisse Structure and Amsterdam Expert!

    Love this painting. I too am an artist. I feel it would be more beautiful without the house. Also, when you put in the house, you painted over a branch when you put the snow on the roof. If it were me, I would paint out the house and fix the branch that comes from one of your left hand forward trees. Otherwise, great painting!

    DOES THE PLASTIC WRAP THAT YOU USE AS A PALETTE HELP KEEP YOUR PAINT WET? I've noticed that when I use a glass palette, my paint seems to not dry out as fast as when I use my usual styrofoam paper plate as my palette.

    • @GebahiArtworks
      @GebahiArtworks  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because glass is not porous ! If you put plastic wrap over your paint, it will trap the humidity and keep your paints wet longer between sessions! There’s also StayWet palettes you can buy online. One particular brand I really loved was Masterson StayWet palettes!

    • @reneekroyer5104
      @reneekroyer5104 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@GebahiArtworks I have the Masterson StayWet palette but I just don't like it because it is SO hard to get the lid on it, especially with arthritic fingers. I have sprayed my leftover paint (for next session) with an extender and wrapped that up in plastic wrap, but I always lose about one-third of it when I remove the Saran wrap from it. I should try to prop it up with something. lol

    • @GebahiArtworks
      @GebahiArtworks  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@reneekroyer5104 instead of the lid on the StayWet palette, use plastic wrap, it will work the same way accept that it will be easier to peel back, and easier on your hands! Or and aluminum tray and use plastic wrap to cover it. Also , you can put a half of a sponge that is slightly damp inside before you cover it with plastic wrap!

    • @reneekroyer5104

      @@GebahiArtworks Good idea. I even tried to get my husband to get that red lid on and he had trouble too and he does not have arthritis. lol I wonder if I could find plastic wrap that size that would have elastic, like a large shower cap. lol I find that regular plastic wrap does not cling well to plastic. I think the kind you use on your palette would probably work better than Saran wrap. I'll have to look at the store for it. Thanks.
