Northeast India is the homeland of a large number of tribes. There are 145 tribal communities of which 78 are large each with a population of more than 5000. They constitute around 12 per cent of the total tribal population of India and 25.81 per cent of the total population of North East India.

I am a North Indian and I have many friends from NE. Infact one of my bestie is a meitei from Imphal. Most of my friends are cool, innocent, jolly and really good friends. Plus your culture, attire and closeness to the nature is very much appreciable. Proud of NE India. It's sad that NE India get ignored most of the time. I am a hindi speaking North Indian guy and I am lucky to have studied in a classroom of many north east friends. Most of them are wonderful people. Three of them are my bff- a meitei, a dimasa and an apatani. Proud of NE heritage. I hope NE get the recognition nd credit it deserve in entire country.
The attires share the same feature with many Asian proups even though they are separate to each other. The strength of blood is so strong. The most secluded area in this world.
I apologize to all of you for some error information like I didn't mentioned here karbi tribe from assam by mistake and also I mentioned here Rabha tribe from Nagaland which is actually belong from assam, and one more thing I try to mentioned here only major tribes not sub-tribes. And I'm Rongmei and we resides in 3states assam Manipur Nagaland
And about zeliangrong we are 3 in 1 but seperate tribe
And same goes for zeme and Liangmai

The people of Tripura are very good. I have been for 5 years. I am also a hillman. People here from Uttarakhand have liked me so much, they are very straight from the heart. The hill people of our Uttarakhand are also very upright, I have made bamboo vegetable, Chakoi, and summer. Have eaten rice, my friends are Debbarma, Kalai, Mog, Jamatia, Reang, Tripura, Chakma, all of them, the kings here have a unique history, the present kings here are also very good scholar, Mother Tripureshwari temple is very good, Chitamura, incl. I have seen the whole of Tripura every year I come to Tripura.
I feel my state, Tripura can never forget.👏❤️🕺😥

Kuki (Nagaland) and Thadou Kuki you mentioned in your video are literally of the same traditional dress.
Important info: All the Kuki tribes of Nagaland are given ST recognition under Kuki in the Nagaland State ST list while in Manipur they are recognised as ST but separately based on their tribe's name such as Vaiphei, Gangte, Thadou, Mate, Simte, Zou etc..
Even liangmei are known as zeliang.

My friend miri and mishing is same tribe . I m a mishing boy. We introduce ourselves as mishing but in Constitution it is mentioned as miri.

Some corrections to be made or clarify:
1. The 2nd attire which you mentioned Aimol is wrong, it is for the Thadou Kuki. Aimol attire has 60 - 70% difference from Thadou Kuki.
2. Paite Tribe are from Manipur not Mizoram. They do settled in Mizoram but are very less in number. Max. 10% or less than that..
3. Spelling - It should be TANGKHUL not Tankul/Tankhul.

As felt by many even 2 tribes (Recognised as Scheduled Tribe) of Sikkim are missing. They are Limboo and Tamang.
