Great stuff, Star. This is definitely filling a content niche about something VERY important, because it definitely 'seems' like we moved the ball better with Tyler Smith at LT and TJ Bass at guard. But the tape don't lie, as they say. It's a big decision for this team whether we continue to roll the dice with the rookie, especially if Tyler Smith is demonstrably better.
Nice film 🎥 break down star 🌟 I think he's doing ok for a Rookie that played on the opposite side in college, fans don't realize how tough that is to do ,I just wish they would help him a little more with zeke or a tight end
Yea I see what you mean! From the film it looks like all tackles struggle with getting beat inside. But Tyler is the only one with the super nice feet that has the lateral agility to overcome. He just needs to be consistent and that can only come with reps! The playcalling vs Pitt was pretty good and we could counter pressure with the quick pass game. We just need to keep it up. I really think that by December, Tyler will look ALOT better and nobody will be calling for him to be benched.
That would be an interesting combo! But all in all I just think that Tyler Smith is a guard that can play tackle! I don’t think that should be his permanent position bc he doesn’t have the feet for a tackle lol he just has crazy strength! Which to me that means you’re a guard! I think we are so blessed bc we have serious depth on the online of guys that could start elsewhere. If the film showed Tyler G had more bad then good or if it was even I would entertain benching him more. But what I saw just a kid that needs reps! He has all the tools. Just has to be consistent.

The best offensive line we can put together is probably Tyler Smith at LT and Asim Richards at LG.
