😂😂😂 your cockroach experience was hilarious! having lived in various climates where cockroaches are more prevalent, i'm not scared of them as much as I am annoyed. First thing - to kill them you need something hard and wide. A shoe (preferably a slide or similar) is perfect. Second, as "large" as the one that approached you was (I've seen much larger), the larger the better. Small cockroaches inidcate that there is a nest nearby. Judging by your decription of the temperature, the cockroach was likley just looking for warmth and was likley not part of a nest. As far as the exterminator goes, good luck. If there is a nest, the poison will drive them from the nest and you'll see many more before they all die.
All in all, single large cockroaches are much better to see than a rat, like the one you saw in the subway. Cockroaches mostly seek water, while rats will ransack your house for food.
Beside that, loved the vlog! You two definitely run the gamut when you travel, and it's so fun to see your encounters!
