I am working on a similar style dreamcatcher and have been trying to find a tutorial to tell me around about of how much embroidery floss I'll need. While I am doing mine differently (the moon portion will be embroidery floss as well) I actually watched the whole tutorial, unlike the many others I have gone through trying to find this information. Even though this didn't have the information I needed for my current project, I thoroughly enjoyed your video. The pace was wonderful, your voice is pleasant to listen to, and I absolutely love the way your project came out. I will definitely be subscribing to your channel and look forward to seeing what other videos you have and share :)
I recently made something similar but I did a moon and star with three smaller dreamcatchers hanging, for smaller dreamcatchers cut a slinky to get a hoop more work but it works

So sorry, I don't remember for sure, but I think the big ones were 10" across, and the small ones 8".

Can this be made with embroidery thread instead of raffia?
Yes, but it will take a LOT longer. Wider materials, or ribbons cover more area faster.
