Love the video liron, nicely put together. What a wonderful artist David is, pure atmospheric watercolour at its best. Love the light washes gradually built up and as you say the spared use of darks. Although there's not much white paper left untouched it still captures the light. He loves his granulating colours that work beautifully. Inspiring. Keep up the good work Liron.
I like the 3rd painting, it looks like Norfolk, in England, where I live. Flat! The tree is an oak, and the building is a church-tower. At first glance the composition appears simple, but the main elements are almost strategically-placed to move the eye around. It's very useful to analyse artworks, you learn so much. Thanks, Liron ☺
Yes - always a lot of experience is going into these paintings (: It's "invisible" and not obvious because it's that good :D Thank you! So happy you enjoyed 😊🙏🏼
Enjoyed the video. I like to see various artists work and hearing your impressions of their work. Thank you for sharing and taking the time to make these videos.
Great video Liron, obviously being from the UK a lot of the scenes are recognisable. The ‘swamp’ pic is the Norfolk Broads an inland waterway and the boat with the red sail is probably a place called Pin Mill an often painted scene in Britain. An up and coming artist in New Jersey, Chris Petri may be a good subject for you. He learnt with the great Charles Reid. Thanks again.
I think it's interesting that he doesn't "follow tradition" in softening the edges of the distant trees and hills, or cloud edges. Thank you for sharing his work :)
Yes! I was curious about that too (: As long as the value pushes it back enough, I suppose it doesn't really matter. His style really teaches you that there are many ways of doing this Thank you 😊🙏🏼
This is the best watercolour painter alive for my money. I am obsessed by trying to do this kind of style but add my ink lines to it for an amalgam of styles. Might I also recommend David Howells books on watercolour and oils. He goes into ridiculous detail on every part of the process. Even to entering shows. How to frame your art and what kind of prices to realistically ask. Ps - great video as always my friend.❣️👍🏻
Yo Liron, pretty slick presentation with the split screen. Me likey. Hey @ 16:00 - There's a smaller boat -- a skiff -- in front of the other two. It took me a second to see it.
Hey Liron, I am watching this real late. Believe me bro ... I was really pissed off with the pencil lines and accuracy of drawing at one point and tried portraits without any pencil marks. My first two paintings did not carry the characters of the people I drew. But other paintings really had had the character of the person I was painting. Alas! I can not show you them now as I am very far away from my home and those are at my home. Try it bro. It's divine and rewarding.
Thank you for sharing Mr . Howell’s work. Do you think on your favorite painting at 11:30 the center building wall is textured from the paper or brush strokes?
Yes! (: I also covered Shari Blaukopf: th-cam.com/video/LY7YRSzlS_0/w-d-xo.html And Nita Engle: th-cam.com/video/aYO1dnFBSf0/w-d-xo.html Hope you enjoy these 😊
Haha yes! It is very impressive (: It's like drawing from observation, only he paints from observation (and basing it on the view + the prep sketch he did).
He does beautiful work - another approach - so many choices - watercolor excites me!!!

Hi Liron
Really good video. We call the scenes harbours and the tall buildings are the church towers (contacting you from England).
Thanks
Dominic.
Thank you! Should have remembered that 😂
Will do for the next time. 😊🙏🏼
Really enjoyed the video 👍interesting
So happy to hear 😊🙏🏼
Thank you
Love this series thank you!

great video
Thank you 😊
Watched a video from Graham Stevenson (colour in your life) we're Alvaro, Joseph and David, together paint a watercolour painting
Yes, that is such an impressive achievement!
All together, playing like children, and the result is awesome (:
So much fun they had and still a fabulous painting outcome
I really enjoy these videos about other artists. Are there any female artists on your your list to share with us?
Yes! (: I also covered Shari Blaukopf:

And Nita Engle:

I just figured you may refer to future episodes - if so then yes - I have more female painters for future episodes (:
@@LironYan Mary Whyte is an outstanding female WC painter
Do Christian Graniou also please
Wow, wasn't familiar with his work!
Added to my list 😁🙏🏼 Thank you!
Tunneresque. Feminine I think. Idk. I'm impressed that he doesn't so a pencil sketch. Its harder than it seems.
Haha yes! It is very impressive (:

Fiat maybe? ;)
