I believe it was Day[9] that said that when you aren't confident in what makes you happy, people will make fun of you. If you are a Starcraft 2 nerd, or in this case Nightcore, then be proud of it. Dude, I am a dad, almost 30, doing accounting work, I still LOVE this stuff, and there's NO ONE that can make me feel embarrassed about it. On the contrary, if someone tries to make fun of it, I turn up the volume, and turn around. (all my friends understand me anyway).... :)

Although in context it may be used as general animation, he refers as anime coming from Asia, in which he is correct with usage. MLP originated from America, and its characters and drawings are different from anime. Go look up anime on wikipedia. It can help.

I don't feel embarrassed now, but i had the same thing when i first started listening nightcore. My friends didn't laugh and call names and stuff, they actually liked nightcore when i let them listen to it. But there are people who will call names and laugh and stuff. but they don't have to know right? If your friends are real friends they won't mind you listening to nightcore. They might tease you a bit but that's all. You like what you like right? who are others to judge you on that?
