I read this year's Carol Shields Prize shortlist and enjoyed the books immensely. Brotherless Night is so good, and I was thrilled to see it win.
It's been interesting to hear other booktuber's thoughts on A History of Burning. It wove its way into the hearts of many readers, and yet for me that was the least engaging of the 5 shortlisted nominees. I love how we can all read the same books yet have very different reactions. ☺
