Having the same issues man. It’s ridiculous. Made it to number 5 in WS rankings and felt no sense of accomplishment like I did when I was doing it in 17. All they had to do was fix a couple little things with the hitting from last year and it would’ve been great. And with fielding, all they really needed to address was the catcher AI, tagging, and the fielders having no urgency with throwing in certain situations. And it seems they completely recoded the game when they didn’t need to and now have completely different issues that they didn’t have in 17. It’s frustrating. I’m hoping for the best with the patch. Called it quits on ranked and just grinding immortals.

I made it 17-0 now 25-7 but remember somebody on the losing end so how can u say it’s way too easy to hit? Plus your BA is NG for some of your guys? This is not taking away any argument that the fastball is unusable online cause it is, but quite frankly everyone has to start to learn how to mix up their pitches better. If you have someone off balance, any fastball will be effective
How are you liking this years game? Its a huge step back imo. Havent played in almost 3 weeks, i want to but just cant. The issues are game breaking. And its damn near impossible to strikeout or strike anyone good out. Its just not fun. I could keep going...
yeah i cant stand it online....pci is dancing, pitch speed is slow, random errors, contact is inconsistent when u do get pci on it, contact hitters r useless.....needs some work but if they fix pci and pitch speed i think it will be much improved then we can go from there

Wow I thought it was just me. I mean even not getting into detail something about it just feels off. Pitch speed feels a bit slow. Fastball is unusable. And as cardinal bird stated anyone with low power and lots of contact is nearly unusable. I’ve had Christian Yelich in my line up since day one and I’ve yet to even hit 1 homer with him ! I’ve hit about one line drive and that’s it. All the other hits are from ground balls . To put into perspective just Incase anyone would say its user, I’d say I’m somewhat good. I have a 77 overall team and managed to make it to the division series.
The only way san diego is ever gonna actually fix this game is all you youtubers boycott putting out any videos of this trash and everyone stop buying packs. The hitting in this years game is the most broken its ever been with how you basically cant get hits with anyone who doesn’t have power
pitch speed is not an issue . Every team is different and not 7 guys throwing 98+ in the pen . People complain cause they dont know how to pitch and for me pci has been fine . i think you guys moving your thumbs and dont know it
velo pitchers werent even the top ones last year...some of u guys r kinda clueless no offense....the best pitchers last were the ones with sinkers/cutters like herchiser and lester...not the ones throwing 100 mph...there is no pitching strategy right now...people throw 80 pct offspeed and spam low...u guys just say u like it because u can hit fastballs lets be honest...otherwise there is no way u can argue the way people are pitching is more realistic and tactical

I through off speed more then fastballs with velo pitchers. Sinkers were the hardest last year, Jansen was a dog, that sinker had you in one spot and that late movement got you a groundball or strike out.

Pinky Ring the pci thing is definitely an issue but the pitch speed makes the game more fun imo. Pitching takes skill now (except for the fact that the pci bails pitchers out too much). If they fix the pci thing then the game would be way better.

It was always a broken mechanic it's just that everyone got used to it and it became a norm. Yeah it takes more skill but 80% of players don't have the time to play every day and work on their reaction times. Also it made pitchers like Syndergaard unbelievable but then Kershaw was just average because Syndergaard threw 99 and Kersh threw 94.
Patrick Kane I always say a well programmed game is as realistic as the two guys playing. Bet you wont be able to throw high inside fastballs to myself or CB5 or lots of others players at a consistent rate with 17 speeds. Your logic uses the slower pitch speeds as though it allows the casual to compete with higher levels and it doesnt. If you were trash before youre still trash, if were good before youre still good. Cb5 was what 18-1 RS...I was 44-4 in games i played.

Ya right now, I just made WS. 40-15. It’s not really fun because of the pitch speed and the pci random movement. Hope they fix this soon.

FilthyCuck Thats true but in this game its IMPOSSIBLE to strikeout. Pitch speeds wouldnt be an issue if we could pitch for a strikeout.
