  • Digitech Trio Plus Tips And Tricks. In this video, I'll show you how to connect the NuX MG-300 to the FX Loop of the DigiTech TRIO Plus. One of my YT Subscribers specifically requested some help with this, so I figured why not? It's a simple connection but makes for some great results when teaching the TRIO song parts. Next time we'll get more complicated by using the HeadRush.

    this is really helpful. I have both pedals plus a Digitech Drop. I have the Trio+ running thru the loop on back of the amp & the NUX300 & Drop running from the amp front input. I often switch between combo rear/front & studio direct mode. but Im gonna try it this way as soon as I figure out where to put the Drop.

    Thanks for the great tutorials. I'm attempting to connect the MG-30 with a Trio Plus, but no luck. I've tried every combination of fx loop on both devices, moved the send/return to before and after the amp, and tried to simulate the connections of the MG-30 the way you did here with the MG-300...nada for anything. I'd be eternally grateful if you could explain how to make the Trio Plus connect with the MG-30...there must be some way!

      @@ThePedalGuy Tried everything with S/R on the MG30...no go. *BUT* if I make the Trio+ the "primary" source and then use its FX send to the input of the M30 and take the output of the MG30 into the FX return of the Trio+ it seems to work (amp out from the Trio+ to an Orange Micro Dark head). No use of the S/R of the MG30 at all. I must say that for as fine a pice of hardware/software the MG30 is, the documentation is frankly abysmal...thank you for your channel. I don't know how I'd figure out how to use this otherwise.

    Your videos are great. I come here for all my Trio+ learning. Would you consider improving your wash lighting and throwing some acoustic treatment up to improve your audio? Would cost less than $200 and would up your game so, so much. You’re just shy of a totally pro presentation and frankly you deserve that edge. It would make your show infinitely more watchable and even better than it is with current lighting and audio quality - which would be a real gem. Thank you for your tutorials - their content is top of the line.

    Hello Pedal Guy! Great video! Thinking of going and picking up a TRIO +. Sounds like it would be possible to connect this to my HX Effects and have the output directed to an Audio interface where the drums and bass would be seperate from my TUBE AMP 4X12 Setup. Is that true that you can have the output(Drum and bass) go to say my studio monitors and not through the 4X12? Thanks great video!

  • @upbeatbeacon

    Great video! Thanks for making it. I wonder if you have any suggestions about how I could connect the MG-300 to the NUX loop core deluxe (preferably while keeping the stereo output of the MG-300. I notice that that Loop core deluxe is mono.) I’ll be connecting to a Roland Cube street amp. I can use the Aux in on the amp. Cheers!

    • @ThePedalGuy
      @ThePedalGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately as the Loop Core Dlx is mono there’s no way to keep it in the stereo field. Simplest connection would be from the mg300 to the loop core to the amp. That’s about as simple a connection as it gets.

    • @upbeatbeacon
      @upbeatbeacon 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThePedalGuy Cheers! I tried that today. It still sounds pretty good. By the way, on another topic, would you say I could connect the NUX stageman floor to the Cube Street via the aux in? Unlike the MG300 it doesn't have any amp simulation, but it does have a pre-amp. And, if i can do that, would it be better to go from the 1/4inch output of the Stageman floor to the aux input of the cube street, or should I go from the 1/8 inch headphone output of the Stageman floor to the aux input of the cube street? Thanks again!

    Did you test the sound with/without the trio+? I'm saying this because the headphones output from the trio has cab-emulation (4x12 I think), don't know if it affects the sound in comparison to the sound that comes out of the Nux...Thank you!

  • @FlorianBauer
    @FlorianBauer ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey, great video! I am using it with the helix lt and I am wondering if the trio+ does apply a cab sim to the amp out. Right now I am sending my helix path (complete with amp, cab and effects) to the loop in the trio and the return the amp out to the path in the helix and on the second return the mixer out, so I got everything on one signal path, this goes out from the helix to my studio monitors. However, it does colour my sound I think. So if the amp out also uses a cab sim, I would have to cab sims active. Is there a way to prevent this? or is there a better way to run things?

    • @ThePedalGuy

    Great video, I used to have the small trio and I would send the bass and drum sound into my amp through the mp3 or aux input using a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter. That way I could use my own pedals without “coloring” the bass and drum sounds.
    I want to try this with the mg-300 by running my pedals into the front of the amp and the mg-300 into the effects loop and hopefully have clear sounding drums. I’m not sure if that will work or if you’ve already made a video about it?
