    Getting ready to do this to my '21 430 RR-S which overheats pretty easily. Good video!!

    I have a hot 4 cylinder motorcycle, my climate never gets below 15 degrees Celsius and averages around 30 degrees and above. Im very curious about doing this. As long as i ride steady to begin with i cant see how this can damage a motorcycle in this sort of weather.
    Wear on engine in cold climate? Agree 100 percent.
    My bike lets in coolant at 80 degrees Celsius. Average running temp of motorcycle 95-110 degrees Celsius. (Cooling system all healthy)

    Haha Love the comments...Pretty sure you explained that you ride in the heat and made a reference to leave on in cold. Geeez how much clearer can you be? My Beta 2023 390RR Race Edition did not come with a fan. My videos prove how hot it gets if you're not moving at a good pace. The minute you try some off trail and aren't moving she gets hot! I've added a fan and temp gauge since then. So when I'm able to ride fast in the woods it cools down to about 160 ish. So man, from these comments I'm scared to go ride the Desert with my buddies in California now after I add these silicon hoses and remove my Thermostat.

    how much colder do you think it runs without the thermostat?

    • @TepcoCycleRepair
      @TepcoCycleRepair  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure, this is a friend's bike. These big 4 strokes run very warm not sure why they put them on in the first place. This is more to prevent a thermostat failure.

    • @TepcoCycleRepair
      @TepcoCycleRepair  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Let me clarify, it's just about always open so I wouldn't imagine any temp difference.

    • @captainamerica9353
      @captainamerica9353 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TepcoCycleRepair , there are several reasons for thermostats. In cold weather, they help your engine warm up faster, which helps reduce emissions, and engine wear. And they help maintain a constant temperature. MX bikes are emissions exempt and run wide open, so they usually don't have one. I trail ride in WI, so I'll be keeping mine in!

      @@TepcoCycleRepair if you don't know , why pushing this?
      A thermostat last the life of the bike, and it's better to have a optimal engine temp and the thermostat helps with that , not to cold or warm......Hope people don't follow this advise because it's just stupid

    Stupid to delete the thermostat, it makes the engine come up in temperature fast and dont let it get too cold in some countries.
    Do ANYONE DELETE THE THERMOSTAT ON A CAR?
    no because its a bad ide

    • @TepcoCycleRepair
      @TepcoCycleRepair  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cars are very different, you may want to read up on this thermostat delete before posting comments about something you're clearly not up to speed on.

    • @Motoinc
      @Motoinc ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TepcoCycleRepair not so different...both 4strokes and work best with optimum and constant temp around 90-95c..(depends where you measure the cooling)..no good to have the temps fluctuate if you can avoid it

    • @TepcoCycleRepair
      @TepcoCycleRepair  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Motoinc Besides maybe a snow bike, find me a big CC 4stroke that has a problem staying warm, because that's all a thermostat does, helps with getting up to temp. A car has a huge radiator and dual fans in most cases so it needs a thermostat. If you let a 4 stroke adult dirt bike idle for a minute or so you're starting to get seriously hot, in some cases even with a fan kit if you have a little mud on the radiator.

    • @Motoinc
      @Motoinc ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TepcoCycleRepair sure you have problems if you ride without a fan on your trail/enduro bike....but who in their right mind does a fan delete.
      With a fan and a thermostat your engine have a constant temp no matter hot or cold outside.....only exception is desert , bit that's a very small procentage who rides desert
      And sure mud doesn't help....but that's a another thing
