Upnayan Day 3 - Part 2 - Bhiksha, Mundan, Janeu and Bhoj

The boy (barua) has to go through various rituals. Fasting for 4 days (without salt and food), asking bhiksha and blessings from senior people. The family barber (hajaam) shaves the boy’s head. Acharya (Akshat’s uncle) gives guru mantra and Yagyopawit or Janeu (a sacred thread). Friends, family and relatives gathers and enjoy food (feast) together. Whole function ends on 4th day from Upnayan day by having a Satynarayan Pooja on the same Madwa. Thanks for watching.
