The Mouseketeers Debut at Disneyland

No way could I let the 65th anniversary of both Disneyland and the first TV appearance of the Mouseketeers go by! Here is a look at the Mouseketeers debut appearance at Disneyland 65 years ago today July 17, 1955 as well as an introduction from the wonderful Leonard Maltin. Taken from the Walt Disney Treasures: The Mickey Mouse Club Week One (October 3-7, 1955) DVD set. An absolutely incredible DVD and it's such a shame that this ended up being the only full week of The Mickey Mouse Club released on DVD.

I think it would have been better if this release had just been the entire first season of the Mickey Mouse Club across 6 discs instead of just one week.

James Moyner I so agree! I really wish that they would have done six discs Walt Disney Treasures sets of The Mickey Mouse Club as well as Disneyland/Walt Disney Presents/The Wonderful World of Color episodes like they did for both seasons of Zorro which were VERY sadly the final Walt Disney Treasures releases.
