Planes, a great financial decision. Lol!
Hey Jimmy I have a question on how the conversation process works for airplane for mobility issues
@therealjimmysworld Dave Ramsey has a nice challenger 300, so he already thinks they are awesome.
El chappo that’s Hilarious 😂
What happened to the 310? You know you could just rebuild it as an experimental aircraft. Have you considered this?
Apparently the plane is still a bait plane. It lured Jimmys world to its location.
HAHAHA!
Jimmy seems to have a knack for finding airplanes that will never fly again! 😅
Yes. The DEA are Master Baiters!
Hi Jimmy. My dad worked for Garret and installed that afterburning engine on their Falcon 20. It was a test-bed aircraft at that time and that engine was for a Taiwanese fighter. He has that exact picture in his office. He passed away this past January, but that picture is very iconic and cool.
@@tadillon I’d love to see more besides that single picture. Is there more info or media out there somewhere? Would love to know/see!
I'm wondering what happens to the siezed aircraft there.... I notice cowls off the twin Beech in background. Are they sold to highest bidder or what?
@@victorvodkafish they typically are used by the government's various organizations or scrapped. They will auction off the ones that were not really involved in serious crimes or are not needed.
It’s still doing a fantastic job as a bait plane…..gotcha Jimmy 😂✈️
100%! Lol
Just please for the love of god dont turn it into a bus.
I do believe that Rafael Caro Quintero owned a Falcon 200 back in the mid-eights. They were known for 2000-mile range with payload of 300 kegs, I'm sorry I mean four passengers.😛
Haha, you know how it is.
Funny to see you with this jet, Jimmy. I spent many years putting gas in that thing when I was younger! :P
As far as I know the falcon 20 is the only civilian jet who had afterburner, but with the GE CF-700 engine; algo the falcon 20 is one of the few planes qualifyed by FAA with no structural life limit, I'm not sure if the 200 has the same certification, for the GE CF -700 engines equiped there were an upgrade program to install the most modern, efficient and less noisy Garret TFE-731-5ar and -5br. The CF-700 is nothing more than a GE-CJ610 equiped with an after fan.
Interesting…
Garrett engines scream Cleetus! Hell yeah brother!
That’s what I was thinking! Hahaha
You would be surprised at the horror stories many Cuban people have about their trip to America. My son is a second generation Cuban American. His birth mother was born in the USA but his birth grandparents escaped Cuba during the Castrol regime. People treat him poorly because of his skin color but I told him to be proud of his heritage. It takes a lot more effort to cross 90 miles of open ocean than to wade across a river. He is an Eagle Scout, and holds an AS and BS in History. He is a well muscled young man who just wants to go to Law School.
Jimmy, stop messing about with this sort of crap. What is happening with the MiG and the T6? We want to know.
I think Jimmy has a touch of ADD 😂
@@Iflyagrasshopperalso a touch of not enough money lol
ADD + too much money = contact trump.
Jimmy is the Hoovie of the airplane genre.
I’ve worked on a lot of these that is not gonna be cheap plus be sure to check the CAMP to see where it is and how far out maintenance/Due items are. $$$$$$$$
Yeah in a previous life I did a bit of support for the Falcon 20 and the one thing I learned was that they were fine until due for a heavy maintenance check and then it was time to give up... 😢
Garrett ATF-3 - designed for high altitude drones and used by the USCG on the HU-25 Falcon Jet. I have lots of wrench time (and flight hours) on that aircraft type and the engines.
6:10 Playa is Spanish for beach. Being that it's in Tampa, FL., it's quite appropriate.
Thanks for the info. Learn something new everyday
HELLSCAPE
Drones are likely "Navy's Hellscape Drone Program" testing. Our military's drone initiative. Testing strategies launched off shore, designed to defend Taiwan.
Archer Aviation, Anduril and Stellantis have partnered with the DOD to develop application specific military drones that are the size of a small bus. And they are currently testing. Some videos look like these drones.
Cool stuff Jimmy!
Good morning from Minnesota! Good episode
Yes what you think 🙏
Watching from Smithville,Canada🇨🇦
That thing looks fast sitting still.
I once calculated the amount of money spend on the drug programs. It could have funded the space shuttle program into the year 2115. Including a new FLEET of shuttles every 17 years. With money left over to fund public education at the same time.
What’s the cost of doing nothing? Fentanyl alone is giving a glimpse of the ramifications of rampant addiction.
@@gpaull2The price of drugs was probably more stable than any commodity sold on the US exchange, get a clue.
I saw a guy who visits hotels. He was at hotel made out of an airplane. The entire plane was one suite. You could start jimmys world resorts or hotel chain 😊
I have a friend that was flying a Falcon 200. He was of the impression that there were only two flying and he was not sure about the other one. Then the FAA issued a bunch of AD’s. He felt it was designed to make them stop flying it. To expensive to fix. I’ll guarantee you can’t get parts for the engines. It’s hard enough to get parts for the CFE 738’s on the 2000!
That’s sounds about right.
Flew it from Cuba at the top of the waves with no wings. Crazy.
I prefer you do the Antonov An2, or something else of interest, like a Wilga, or ercoupe. The bizjets are all the same..... a long tube with plush seats, foldout tables, lots of cabinets. You have already been down this road with the Elvis jet.
100% agree.
Dassault builds some good looking bizjets. Those Garrett ATF3 engines are an unusual 3 spool design.
ATF standing for Almost Turbo Fan!
Unusual like the RB211 or Trent? 😂
@@stlflyguy The RR engines don't reverse core flow twice, do they. Unusual.
Hmmm, I was there a week ago didnt see that falcon. Nice!
"Needs work." (@4:12) understatement of the year.
@8:42 "How bad does it have to be..." Ask the East Germans who risked their lives to get over, under, around the Berlin Wall. Ask the Vietnamese "Boat People" who fled Vietnam after 1975 with maps of the South China Sea from a National Geographic magazine for navigation.
The seats alone BEFORE redoing are worth $20,000 plus as they work in newer Falcon 50’s and other Falcons!
Really?! How about that!
Those planes are what we used to call, Blow Birds when I was a cop
Hahaha, makes sense
Hmmm, working jet engines. And just by coincidence, the Elvis bus has mounting spots for jet engines. Coud this be providence in action?
Hhhhmmmmm
I love that one of the first things you check out is the folding table/desk thingy😂
Thank you for the video.
This is your best episode.
Thanks, glad you liked it.
Wow I was shocked when you found that suitcase full of money in that plane!
Ssshhhhh sequential serial numbers too… lol
Hello everyone from Buffalo Niagara Falls NY USA 👋🇺🇲
You mean snowing USA. LOL. Hope you guys are okay up there.god bless ya
That Cuban apparatus looked safer than a lot of stuff I’ve seen you fly Jim 😂
You’re not wrong…
I always wanted to see a tour of an Air America 310.
You can change it into a top end hotel room. Park it on a small airport, you got to rent or buy a plot of land, so, this hotel can't be a budget hotelroom. Divide it into a living room like area, a pantry like area (make shure there is a large fridge for drinks, and a good quality coffee machine) and a bed room.
Be sure there is a good restaurant providing dinner and a good breakfast. See? It can be a special thing, for people who want more than just a hotel room. You got that aviation theme.
This thing does not need to turn into an RV, but sure you could go for that concept, too. You get a bloody expensive RV, and you'd need to put it on a freight truck size trailer, in order to move it. Complicated. Maybe some flight club would like such an old plane for shelter? RC plane clubs? You never know.
Bait plane is correct, got you there Jimmy :)
Merry Christmas to all at Jimmysworld. May you and your families enjoy the Hope Peace Joy and Love this time of year reminds us of. Safe and happy New Year.
Please stay away from "Get there-itis."
Where Jimmy's world meets Don's world!
What could possibly go wrong LOL😂 some of the things I could tell you about the airplanes on that ramp. I worked there for 20 years
That is the Garrett ATF 3 Series turbofan. No afterburner. The afterburner was only added to one Coast Guard Falcon 20-200, and that was from what I understand, was for the U.S. Coast Guard, and they had to use titanium on the tail so it wouldn't melt off. @tadillon Is that the same one you are talking about?
You could do the same thing with the jet as you now do with the 421 - and do it faster.
I like how you think!
If you bought that jet, what would be a price that would give you a good return on your investment? Would you do better parting it out, or refurbishing it and selling it in flyable condition?
I think it would be cool to buzz over to Cuba and see what the airplanes there look like !
Just a reminder, you need to have the Falcon photo on the thumbnail re-imaged as the cabin door was never on the right (co-pilot's) small twin engine airplanes and corporate jets the entrance door is always on the left side. The photo just looks weird and caught my attention. (ATP 15,000+ total flight time CFIIM a&p mechanic)
You brought it
What to do with it ? The Falcon 20 is probably the best looking private jet ever and according to pilots a sweetheart to fly .
This is all there fly the dam thing or leave it alone and let someone else fly this beauty
Remind me to lock all my cabinets if Jimmy ever comes to visit
It is in the MIA area currently according to public records
Jimmy whenever I have free time, I work a lot I watch your videos. I just love it. I started flying when I was 16 1/2 years old went to Embry Riddle for two years ended up working in the casino industry for 10 years. . The various airplanes that you’re looking at I’m sure I’ve dealt with those guys in the casino business over the years. Some people just have too much money and they’re stupid.😂 Keep up the great work, great love your channel. For the last few years, my wife watches all the videos with me, which I find would be amazing. Thank you. RICK MUSK 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Isn't it Embry Riddle?
Maybe spell check altered Embry…… or maybe that’s why he only went for 2 years….
Great video man.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great deal buy it!
Hahahaha what could possibly go wrong!
Log books are worth the plane! When was it serviced? How old are the engines?
No idea… didn’t ask… lol
Jimmy what Serial Number is this F200.
I maintained one for Kerr McGee years past, ATF 3 engines very unique 3 spool!
Amazing that the pilot seats are more comfortable looking than passenger seats.
I love Jimmy and this channel...but here lately isn't not about saving aircraft anymore like he started out and maybe that's where this is headed. But after seeing him try to save a lot before and then not doing any makes me wonder....??
Thanks for the comment. I’ve got a couple of saves back in the hangar. Those videos will be coming soon :)
Hey Jimmy - It would be great if you could buy a jet for your daily run around, but I don't think it will be this one. Greetings from across the pond.
That would be cool! One day….
You didnt open the engines to see the corrosion. I am guessing they will have a lot, i am also guessing that airframe is toast. Just a guess seeing how much moisture was inside that cabin.
I think you're right.
Jimmy, I wanted to start taking flying lessons so I could work up to a twin rating and find an old Cessna 310 to fiddle with, but my doctor is telling me not to bother. He said I'd never pass my flight physical because I've been fighting cancer. Any way around this for purely non-passenger carrying flying?
Glad I can help you scratch that flying itch.
Jimmy if you have a brother, you need to get him in on this, and then change the name of the channel to the JetsSons : )
Hahahaha, that would be funny
What do you do without log books???
Yeah looks like a deal but you're going to need all of the logs maintenance so forth that's tough to be had on those planes
I need that plane! My initials are EC! Well, really just the tail number. Can we trade tail numbers?
Done! Lol
Si los tableros del freeway 3d please 🙏
Go ahead
What is your opinion on the unidentified aircraft in the recent news?
Yep, you need that jet. I don't know what will you do with it, but that s.h.t is too cool to let it die, or just sitting in some museum. Or anything else.
Jimmy how about the MiG
The Dave Ramsey reference KILLE ME!!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!
As well as its reported sale location was MIAMI
Fix the leaks gut the seats and I will have us both retired in 1 year doing photography in South America 😂😂😂
Trying to go incognito while having bottles on board named "12 year old scotch" seems legit.
Hahahaha, I thought the same thing! Hahaha
For sure. The tackiset thing ever.
Hey jimmy love to channel, any advice or help you could
Provide to get a “bar find “ unicorn of an airplane like the ones you find? I’m going to get my A&p and wish to use all my
Teachings and resources
To bring back a unicorn to the skies
They are at every airport. Just ask around and you’re bound to find one.
Hi Jimmy, question, why don’t small private planes have parachutes onboard?
Some do. Most were built before parachutes on planes were a thing. Check out Cirrus airplanes, they have parachutes
@ thanks Jimmy. My son is taking flying lessons. Keep up your great videos.
I'd give it a miss Jimmy, has seen its day.
Still looking
Those planes, with the burner on were proper jets…..until you paid the fuel bill!🤔😄😉
You ain’t kidding! 😉
What's the ratio of the planes you have bought to ones you got flight worthy?
How much would it take to get it fly worthy
Yes can I work with a company
Interesting when you look it up on the FAA registry. The company address of ownership is in a sketchy area. You know this was some government undercover stuff.
s
THANKS A LOT
What kind of aircraft is in the background of the ultra light?
They wouldn’t let me check any of the others ones out this trip. I’ll be going back :)
I'd love to fire up a nice turbine. My neighbors, not so much.
Hmmm, panel upgrade or buy a jet? What a fun project to mess with. The hornet's nest might be a dealbreaker though. I suspect the value in the planes there is only in parts and aluminum scrap value and the cost of disassembly/transportation certainly needs to be considered.
That’s what I was thinking… I don’t like hornets…. Lol
Pablito!
I thought you declared Bankruptcy. How did you recover?
Jet!!!!!!!!!
Make a full motion flight simulator, cabin, Wings and all with working operating landing gear that touch down on a belt-driven (like a tread mill) runway. Loud speakers in the engine cowls that simulate the jet engines, with an immersive out side projection system.
I want whatever he's smoking! Lol 😂
There are few things more awesome than a cockpit with a billion gauges and switches.
100% agree
Try Elaine Larson at Florida Institute of Technology... her Motorsports company does Jet Dragsters...
Wow, I had no idea!
I bet you could vacuum the carpet and come up with half the cost.😂
You need to buy it and put it back in the air. Jimmy’s Jet.
That would be a build and a half!
AC looks in very good shape. Could be returned to service
With enough time and money most anything could fly again :)
@ did you try the systems or anything else or just do a fly through?
Is there a website and can anybody buy from it
Maybe it's just my bad back speaking, but I think any private aircraft claiming to be a luxury conveyance should at least be big enough to stand up straight in!
How much to get it flying?
All of the money… lol
Those Garrett engines would look sweet on the Elvis Jet, not that I'd invest in that propless prop.
Yea they would….
That's what a Cuban has to do to get out of communism and there are a lot of people here defending those regimes
An interesting story about Cubans, but rather than a desperate situation, adventurism is present here! A desperate situation is when in large US cities people sleep in tents, in the city center, under bridges and die from drugs, violence, murders or colds, without being able to get treatment!
