Reminds me of the Squire class in FF Tactics, particularly Ramza's. Call me a murderhobo, but I wouldn't have turned over the Goblin Emperor's mana stone for free. Even someone new should have been able to peice together 'mana is valuable, so a mana stone is too, and it should be sold.' Maybe the Magna Carta isn't a thing there, and the Nobility can simply take what they want from the commoners.
