    Here is a link to go to Softubes web site to find out more.

    I like this, it gives a realistic marshall sound RAW but scufham s gear gives that 80s sound out of the box.

    Big improvement!
    Especially the improved cabinet section now works much better due to better, more contemporary individual adjustment options and choice of microphones and placement. The older systems never convinced me much, now this section really became professional too.
    The Marshalls anyway already sounded good before, maybe apart from the 2204, which always sounded a little too shrill to me, but the JCM800 sounds nice, althout I miss the Low Input option and the Silver Jubilee even sounds better to me than my real one did decades ago. The 1959 Plexi anyway is a gem, which brought me to Softube. I only know a single Plexi plugin alternative, which sounds as good, but also a little different.
    The AC-30 offers too little gain for my taste, I know alternatives, which give me a better, more intense Gallagher, May overdrive even without any pedal support, but the basic Vox character is there.
    Some pedals, especially the SD-1 still do not convince me so much. My real SD-1 sounds different, the RAT is ok, but also still could be improved, at least with a "more bass" switch, which meanwhile a lot of RAT based pedals also offer.
    A real highlight is the new Vildsint with it's sound matrix (9 different voicings!), I think. A nice, in my opinion more British voiced high-gain alternative to a Rectifier, but comparably flexible, even the clean and cleaner tones sound excellent. So it offers you almost everything between clean and ultra-high-gain in really good quality. The different voicings work fine, the more gain, the thighter bass becomes, so you do not even have to readjust much, just change the voicing. Would become my new favorite amp, if it existed in reality! The closest sounding real amp with comparable sounds, I know is a VH-4. No bad reference, I think.
    But also the new bass amps are nice, especially the The Cardinal sound great to me. Not like the Ampeg, not like the Murde One / Super Bass, but is has a beautiful, unique late 1960's / early 1970's character.
    Another good feature is the flexible 5-band eq, which helps optimizing the final results.
    I already owned Amp Room before, but hardly used it, this upgrade certainly is capable of changing this. Now it became a really good professional system for excellent guitar and bass tones.

    I'm not against the use of these but I don't like how the names refer to real Amps when it's just a load of digital information. I don't think they should be allowed to use the names of amps, models or even allude to them. And selecting virtual speakers is daft. The names should be just ''dirty guitar 1''.i think it deceives people.... I fell victim once to this kind of marketing when I bought Hughes kettner that professed to have a Marshall channel and fender channel and had very little in common with either.

    • @MrACangusyoungDC
      @MrACangusyoungDC 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Softube look at every component in a circuits of real vintage amps and they recreate them from measurements and don't really listen to them. They are practically more accurate than reissue hardware (because new old stock components isn't really a thing). The only flaws are not completely capturing every complex aspects of components like tubes behave when it comes to nonlinearities and such.

    • @alejandroaaa
      @alejandroaaa 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Their names are similar so that users can easily refer to their real life counterparts (especially for tone chasers) and know how to dial them since every single amp is different each other and has different knobs, tubes, etc.
