No, it wasn't. Do you know how I know this? Because... IT DOESN'T FLY. It hasn't, never will, nor built to do so. It's just a fucking boat. To have a REAL flying boat, you need a customized seaplane, this is a hydrofoil, not a plane, nor is it ever capable of flying. It uses physics to just "glide" across the top. The boat is STILL in the ocean. That won't change.

One, this is NOT a car. Two, she claims it's a flying yacht, which it so clearly is not. It's a water glider, also known as a hydrofoil. It isn't flying nor does it fly. To have a boat that flies, you need to be a p9ilot, which she is not nor does it have any flying instruments. It's just an expensive hydrofoil and nothing more. She also lied through her teeth on what it was, which isn't shocking. Not incredible, just a person who doesn't know what she speaks of or is knowingly telling false information.
This is so cool, I am here smiling all over my face. I live on a Caribbean island and love to jet ski. But this is another level.

And people say that money cant by love or happiness.... Oh I beg to differ..... Money can and does by happiness and this video proves it...

@@p.chakraborty4453 No they make affordable ones also. They have foiler sailboats that are less than 10k. They just recently started building expensive yatchts with this.

We still got hydrofoil vessels here in Greece where i live servicing passengers to Athens close by Islands in the Saronic gulf since the '70s, we call them "Flying Dolphins". But unfortunately their days are numbered and are going to be replaced by newly-built “aero catamarans,” constructed in Norway by 2022...

If any further vids are done of this yacht, it would be great to have a camera strapped to the front just to show the difference in ride between normal mode/full throttle and fly mode/full throttle. Curious to see from a drivers point of view the true benefits of this additional feature (just confirms it's not a gimmick). Cheers.

It is all flying and giggles until one of your wings hits a floating debris of some density like a log or similar .....
exactly, actually wouldn't even need to be a dense log, it could be a decent size patch of seaweed even would be big problems for this boat... Also i don't see this boat able to withstand the normal swells that will exist in the open sea... You'd literally have to find days when its super flat to drive this safely in open water. Not many days in a year that are super flat.. would be great for lakes and marinas :-)

I thought my 79 Glastron was fast,,, in 1919 Alexander Graham Bell built an air boat with what looks like 3 ladders(Hydrofoils). Didn't turn well but reached around 71 WOT. My Carlson CVX 16.7 and 3/4 went right around 67MPH with a 79 200 Johnson Cross Flow/21P. 1984-85, it was fun, great water ski boat, pull your arms off, dry start. Be Safe...

They have successfully transported tourists along the Neva River in St. Petersburg, and along other rivers in Russia since the late 50s. All we have now are mainly Soviet ships Raketa, Meteor, Kometa, Belarus. In total, more than 1300 of them were built. The ticket price and travel time were less than on similar bus routes. We used to have a big version of one of these hydrofoil boats in Auckland during the seventies and it was used to ferry passengers between waiheki Island and Auckland.
