The place washing away is called, " Camp Ellis " . I am 65yrs old and this happens every single time there is a bad NorthEaster in this village. And it will always happen because of what the" Corps of Army Engineers " they built a break water right there and it causes the bad build up of big seas, huge waves. The big waves wash the beach away as well as the homes and roads they built out onto the beach area.
"Not Every Day" Oh, Really? Its five straight months of this in most of ME and NH, especially the 50 mph wind gusts with the passage of literally every cold front from October through May. Where I live, we get a solid snow storm (6" or more) about once a week as well from November thru mid April
Youre friggin right we have, about 5 years ago was the worst winter i remember dealing with, i was in 7th grade walking to school for a good couple miles, one temp i completely remember was -31° real feel. Wicked cold. Then as april fools hit when everything kinda sorta was warming up Todd Gutner pranked everyone with the "stahm centah" intro and made everyone think another wicked pissin storm was comin.

Funny, none of the nice Zillow pictures show this lovely weather when featuring the homes! 😄

I look forward to winter. This summer was too hot for Maine. At ome point it was 77 in Florida and 95 in Maine. That is not normal.
Winters my favourite season. Good thing it's starting to get cooler (at least in Bangor)

It always snows in Maine. They've probably adapted to it
