Having owned an Oryx now for 3 months, Chambered in 1500 S Howa .223/5.56 - I absolutely love mine. Its the most accurate rifle I own and will last years. If you havent done so and are thinking about it, Grab one, They do not disappoint. I ended up painting mine all black, added a Vortex Xfire II with a really long can, Lazer, Holographics and a 300yrd O-Light with On/Off pad near the cheek rest, Barret Bipod and Plenty of real estate for more raiI. Also using the heaviest 26" Barrel Howa could find me turned this build into an Instant High Tech Police Sniper Rifle. Police Hate it because its one scary looking Mofo. Also using my own hand loads with excellent results.....Obviously its a Bench Shooter as it weighs in very heavy. looks shit hot and was a great project. - Skorp - Western Australia

I have a Howa short action .223 with this stock and plastic mag. It would not feed rounds. I traced the fault to the bolt release being too long in this stock. The bolt was sliding over the top of the round. Was not behind the round. Stripped down and ground off little by little and hey presto feeds a dream. Hope this helps anyone else who has encountered the same problem. Accuracy is fantastic.

I think the vertical grip allows the wrist to follow a more natural position. Less pronation at the wrist. This in turn maintains a more comfortable position. This is more apparent when shooting prone. Piet, can you show what manufacturer/model is for the vertical grip.

Hey nice video. I just bought an Oryx but am having trouble cleaning the barrel because the butt stock is higher than the centre of the barrel. Did you find this too and if so found a solution ?
does the raised edge of the buttstock rear get in the way of pushing a cleaning rod through the barrel? I understand the cheek riser can be removed but does the cleaning rod bend when it hits the read raised edge? although one can use a brass jab and a fiberglass rod I am still concerned about the rod not entering parallel to the barrel and possibly damaging the lands. any experience with cleaning the barrel so far? also what size cleaning rod do you use?

I’m struggling to decide between the Oryx and the GRS Bifrost. I bought a Howa 6.5 Creedmoor BB Stainless steel and want to use it for both hunting and steel plate challenges. What would be your unbiased choice between the two?
To be honest I have zero experience with the GRS. However the GRS is more of a stock than a chassis. So it really depends on what you prefer. I like the modularity of a chassis over a stock. grips, rails ect.
Just learn to shoot right handed..with a right handed rifle like 75% plus of the rest of the world..you will save so much trouble and money..the US military like other military's train only in right handed shooting..be the person right handed or not..so many products are exclusively designed for right handed users..such as a chainsaw..which is very dangerous to use left handed..best wishes my friend..
