  • Love is the essence of our natural world. It is what allows growth. The Bible describes, in 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8, the nature of love. Firstly, love is patient, just as the seeds that wait to sprout. Love is kind, just as the plants that yield their fruit to us. Love does not envy and it does not boast. The shrubs and the trees grow together without animosity. Love does not dishonor others, and it is not self-seeking. The trees allow the moss to grow on it. Love is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Even when a tree is cut down or falls down, it still grows in its own way, allowing for insects and plants to grow in and around it. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. The leaves dance in the wind, the wind being the true force of nature even controlling the seas. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. The very soil of the earth is the representation of hope and the birthplace of perseverance. It trusts the above to tend to the plant and protects the roots of nature. Lastly, Love never fails. Where there is love there will always be growth. This is what nature is.
