"You built these weapons to destroy us. Why? Because You are afraid of our gifts. Because we are different. Humanity has always feared that which is different. Well, I’m here to tell you, to tell the world you’re right to fear us. We are the future! We are the ones who will inherit this Earth! And anyone who stands in our way will suffer the same fate as these men you see before you. Today was meant to be a display of your power. Instead I give you a glimpse of the devastation my race can unleash upon yours. Let this be a warning to the world and to my Mutant brothers and sisters out there. I say this, no more hiding. No more suffering. You have lived in the shadows, and shame, and fear for too long. Come out! Join Me! Fight together in a Brotherhood of our kind. A new tomorrow that starts today.”

"All those years wasted, fighting each other, Charles. To have a precious few of them back. [extends hand for a handshake; shakes hands with Charles]" - Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto What made this moment precious before the future was changed was that Erik was willing to spend his last dying moments with his one good friend Charles, and that he had regretted spending all those years, waging war with his Brotherhood against the X-Men and fighting with him philosophically. All that did was sour their friendship. It's not worth it, even in real life. It's not worth it - fighting with your best friend who is like a brother or a sister because of some major differences. If there's a friend out there who you cherish - even if you see them as a brother/sister - but your friendship with them has been soured, do not make it worse by fighting; fix it. It's not worth all that pain and resentment...
This scene made me want to cry so bad. T-T Such a horrible slaughter. How could they not see they are just people with superpowers? With amazing powers, yeah, but they are still people and they can feel everything a simple human can feel. And there are bad mutants, but also good ones, like there are bad and good people. Why pacific coexistence is always so hard to achieve?

Its because he realised what a horrible mistake, he had made. E.g. Superman Returns was a failed movie, so it clearly wasn't his best decision. He abandoned a successful series that he had started, for a movie that eventually bit him in the ass. As a result, X-Men 3 suffered, where it could have been a massive success, had he stayed.
Magneto’s speech is quite thought-provoking. Showing multiple mutants around the world listening to Magneto was a very nice touch, too. This kinda gives off vibes from the Civil Rights Movement tbh. And just like the comics did, they ended up doing a fantastic job fleshing out the character of Magneto. They made his stance on the relationship between normal humans and the mutants more (once again) thought-provoking. You can definitely understand why he is who he is and why some mutants would join him.
The way mutants are depicted and treated, including himself, makes his stance on the conflict more understandable. From a moral standpoint some of his views are partially correct (as he wants mutants to be treated correctly and not like dirt), but some of his views are partially incorrect (as he believes mutants are superior to humans. Which is ironically what happened with the Nazis; the Nazis believed they were superior to the Jewish).
Why does everyone hate X-Men The Last Stand so much? I mean it had all of our favorite X-Men(Scot, The Pheonix, Proffesor X, Wolverine, Beast, Roge, Kiity, Angle, Coloses, Juggernut, Pyro but nobody even says "Hi Pyro", Mystique, & Magneto.) It has tons of action. & a final goodbye to all of our favorite characters. Well not goodbye thanks to DOFP.
Probably because it was executed, in such a pathetic way? Half of the characters that you mentioned, became irrelevant, not even half way through the movie. Scott and Xavier died (which is bullshit, in its own right), Rogue left right at the beginning, for absolutely no reason, and Mystique was "cured". How do you consider that a good handling of the characters?
+Alex Schloesser Last Stand was ridiculous. I mean sure the action scenes and acting was good, but the writing, style, and overuse of characters is poorly executed. Xavier's death made me tear up and Mystique getting cured makes no sense (this is why I prefer Jennifer Lawrence as the better Mystique). So yeah. The film wasn't that good, but X-Men Origins was much worse (They F**ked up Deadpool!).

Couldn't have said it better myself - brilliantly put! :P
Amazingly put
Michael Fassbender's acting was amazing in this movie. Particularly the speech he gives during this song, and how angry he gets on the plane.
amazing was just little to say the least it was beyond superb... there could not be anyone better than him suited for the role !
Sunspot was also badass in this scene. He was fighting 3 Sentinels on his own, even after he was outnumbered and got one of his arms cut off.
Ikr, he's tough. He kept blasting them and it almost looked like he didn't even noticed he lost an arm.
I swear
Michael Fassbender's portrayal of Magneto was incredible.
They were all incredible, despite their screen time
Ahhh, this scene makes me cry
a new tomorrow…..thats starts today……..

Because humanity has always feared that is different. And fear breeds hatred.
Xleeing Yeah, I agree. But still, hate to the point of killing? That's barbaric. :'(
CrisPCBloomySky True but remember that while are capable of great cruelty we are also capable of greater kindness
Xleeing
Yeah. I just wish we could be kinder instead of crueler.
We'd need to abandon our ignorance that breed's our hatred.

It's probably Bryan Singers way of saying sorry to the fans for not doing x men 3 and he promises he will make it up and that he did.
This is also Bryan Singer's way of spitting in the face of Brett Ratner and on his work of X-Men: The Last Stand.
Eric Graham Right? It's like Bryan Singer has the power to get rid of terrible directors.

In every single superhero move: people with powers are awesome
In x men: kill them all
This is hypothetical of course.
