- Welcome back to Part 2 of our Cape York trip!! THE TEMPLE.......
In this episode we head out to Portland Roads & Chilli Beach to show you around! We ride dirt bikes & blo karts, we hang out in old World War 2 bunkers and and we explore remote islands off the coast!!

It all started when…
In December 2015 we packed up and hit the road for what we thought would be a 12 month Lap of Oz. Fast forward 4 years and we decided to create a video series of our travels to show you all what it’s like to live life on the road!!
Thank you guys, for making the Cape look so approachable for families. I completely had misconceptions from the ‘adventurers’ on TV making it look like ‘bush-bashing’ through the wilderness. Awesome, bucket list for sure... absolute Paradise.

Best upload yet , me and the Mrs and the kids have watched them all ,... and we are from Scotland ...same set up 2 boys and a little terror of a girl ...she beats her brothers up ..great channel my kids love it ....constantly ...Dad Dad when we going camping ...when the rain stops ...and we get two weeks of summer ...thats Scotland for you ...haha

I use a cord or nylon rope to wrap around twice the awning clamp and double not it to make a secure close back up to the lock keep the awning in place never hard it come out .

We were there last year. A magical experience that we will never forget. Fortunately we had friends who run The Green Hoose In Lockhart River and they took us to The Temple to visit Jayson and Kate and Chilli Beach. Can't wait to see your next video of going to The Tip!

Following your nice chapter on Cape York we also planned to make a visit to temple (short one for the impression and a stubby), probably before booking a few days with my wife. However, they told us they are busy, and you can get to the site just by booking ahead. I think that should be correctly explained when introducing this site. However, Portland Roads itself is epic and we met wonderful people there.

I know Dave from Sydney I also spent time at the cafe with Greg and Shree I was there chef David glasheen is a legend of the Cape his a spokesman for the cookieow nation respect to them the temple looks very differaint to when I was there the old fella sold up and took off traveling I guess funny you can also see (chips) ( chips Chippendale) place from worked with his wife and daughter but David is one hell of a character you brought back so amazing memories for me 💞 thx for that I truly needed that the new owners look great place looks great Greg and Shree would be spewing thay also own the Portland house next door that's where I stayed some of the time when I was there great video 👌👌👌👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺😎

Hi Bec...FYI Just watched Part 2 The Temple 46 minutes and You tube absolutely destroyed it with bloody adds. So in answer to your question and to cut down on editing time 30 minutes would be just fine. For length of viewing Great episode . Well done. PS Nailly now attracts a 5.00 fine each time he uses it lol
This was the best video by far, spirits were high, laughter all round, beautiful scenery, epic accomodation, insane music, views like no other and all around the absolute definition of QLD too it’s core 🤘🏽🙏🏽

Hello guys & kids another great episode. Portland Roads looks fantastic also Chilli Beach looks crackers. I saw Resto Island on an episode of 4WD Action with John Rooth & co & what a location. Old Dave seems like a nice old guy has just got the life. Was funny seeing Bec on that sail thing like you said if anything is going to happen Bec will be involved. Anyhow can't wait till the next instalment stay safe. Its also great to get feedback as well.

@@TripInAVan Just about any you can find will love you. caravan and overlanding is huge here, they call touring (overlanding). The American south west is a lot like western Au, and the south is a lot like Qld. The west is like nothing yall have, But i wish we had a Simson desert!!LOL... just about any group you find will love you all !! i would love to move to AU if i could find work and bring my 4wd and caravan. Maybe someday im still looking into it. love the videos mate! you do great work at it. yall be safe and if you need any thing from this part of the world just let know.
