I feel sad for not only the boys but the senior men' team for not getting to play enough international competition or even a friendly series that they are unable beat the top teams in world. The Pro volleyball league was to change all but thanks to selfish and greedy officials of VFI who are more interested in fighting each other for more political power these players potentials are getting wasted. How can they have a foreign coach when the federation is at shambles due to infighting which is not only affecting selection of players but also jeopardizing the growth of the game in India. This is the only game after cricket and hockey that we could compete with the world's best if given proper facilities, training and more exposure for the players and would be coaches. I want Central govt to intervene disband the VFI and in place set up a new federation just like what they did with corrupt IHF and replaced with Hockey india which ultimately resulted in india winning a medal in Olympics. Unfortunately that wouldn't happen when u have Anurag thakur as sports minister as he himself as secretary of BCCI refused to implement supreme court guidelines . Volleyball has to be saved that's all.

Anurag Thakur was a cricketer. So, expect every other sports to go back to stone age because that what cricket does. It's a boring sports and if other sports get traction, it'll looses customers forever.
It can change if Modi personally took some interest.
I'm hopeful for that as he was suggesting one tall hockey player to go in volleyball(so he is aware).

@@Anon-e7f I know that he is aware, about the players not the mess that is happening within VFI. There will be no pro volleyball as VFI terminated the contract with baseline org. The people in Baseline will be discouraged in organising pro volleyball league thanks to the greedy nature of the VFI officials. Even if we assume modi knows about the mess, why hasn't he till now taken an action?
