The officer wasnt driving in a reckless manner at high speeds and he was able to spot the crash site, which would've been easy to overlook if you were just focusing on the road. The one officer didnt try to be the one man hero and he waited for backup while giving instructions. Once backup apprehended and secured the suspects, they took great care to ensure they didnt cause further injuries by being overly aggressive. I wish these young drivers would understand that these are not AWD track cars. You're not about to hit those turns at those speeds, with those tires, and that weight at 140 mph without some serious skills. This officer knew the assignment

That officer not only put himself in grave danger, but everyone else on that highway. All that leo has to do is mess up one time and hit and kill someone and that's his behind, he going to prison for the rest of his or hers life. He gets no "props" from me. Guess they will let anyone be a leo today, bet they have the mirror test going on now, if they hold a mirror up in front of a potential employee and the mirror fogs up, they hired.

  • @andrewhigdon8346
    @andrewhigdon8346 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Speaking from experience, and being a driver whose head is almost literally on a swivel, when going 70mph, you CANNOT be prepared for a car approaching from the rear at like 100+mph. You’re looking, checking your mirrors like normal, then BAM, it’s there! I was on our local perimeter highway late at night after a job in my Magnum RT, cruise control set at 74mph, NO ONE ELSE AROUND. Open road, flat country, only hills are overpasses, long gentle curves. Out of nowhere, a cop Charger flies by, and I FELT it, big time, and I estimate it was going 120mph, give or take, but roughly 50mph faster than I was going. No siren, but lights, and if there were lights in my mirror for more than a few seconds, I would have seen them, as there was no one else around. I even would have seen headlights, for sure. It scared the shit out of me. So at that point, I was hyper aware, even looking, for another to follow. About 4 minutes later, WHOOSH!! A PPV Tahoe went by at about the same speed, and it literally made me correct my path as it all but pushed me half out of the lane. And I was in my Wagon! Not like I was in a van! Anyway, any of those cars, even with vigilant drivers, could simply misjudged which side the cop was going to pass, the law states that you move to the RIGHT. Yet cops pass on the right all the time in these videos. One little innocent misjudgment and it would be all over for anyone in that car. Too dangerous. Of course, we don’t see the videos often of the cop actually creaming a family minding their own business. We see them, but for every one that gets FORCED out of their hands, there are ten that we will never know about. I LOVE watching these videos. But it’s too damned dangerous.

It looks like he was, at one point, far enough ahead that he could turn around and get to speed going the other way without being noticed. Then it's just a game a chance as to whether or not the cop flying at 120-140mph on the other side both sees you and realizes it's you. Even if he does, you'll gain hella distance in the meantime as he slows down and changes direction, then gets back to speed,

    What an excellent pursuit driver especially with such a slow car, - stupid that a troopers car tops out at 140mph! Surely to go they need to be able to do at least 170mph with the type of cars on the road today🤔

    Why are there so many people running from the Arkansas State Police? Some getting away, some not, but the insane car chases going on in the "Diamond State" are puzzling. I dig watching them, make no mistake about that! However, I'd say that the safety of the public has to be considered. I can't see turning a traffic violation escape into a multiple-fatality highway collision just to satisfy some cops' adrenaline rush. Once the perp's driving goes beyond a certain point further chase is detrimental to the safety of the other cars on the road. Arkansas cops aren't alone in making this mistake. No one and-- I mean no one----is more hard-assed than California's CHP--especially the motorcycle officers. If you make them chase you down in a high speed chase like we have here in this video, they WILL beat you half to death if they catch you. That's a given and everyone knows it.

    ok when patrol car stopped initially he already had the tag and owner info right? when speeds started topping 100 mph the chase SHOULD have been called. I mean it wasn't just the offender and police involved.. all it would take would be another driver making a tiny mistake and likely multiple vehicles involved in a crash and likely fatalities. NOT worth the risk in my opinion. When cop maxed out at 140 guess he got his feelins hurt ..

  • @kw57rx8dr.9

    That was more like a 160 MPH chase just the cop car could only do 140, have to give the officer a lot of credit though he still maintained contact with the help of radios and dogged determination. I never would have guessed there'd be dreds, police being very professional and accommodating under the circumstances.

    • @gp3yt
      @gp3yt ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @HiTechOilCo Agreed, while high-speed pursuit is never the preferred, we are not privileged to know all the reasons why such a pursuit / use of assets in that manner was deemed necessary that resulted in the apprehension of two brazen offenders stupid enough to attempt to outrun the authorities. Offenders that would have been emboldened to do again, or worse, had they not been stopped. The way the ASP handled their Interceptors at speed, closed in, and caught the offenders all while managing their composure in such a tense situation - INCREDIBLE PROFESSIONALISM
