This just helped me so much! The rear of my lower cushion was stuck all the way up. I was having to duck down to see out of the rear view mirror. Turns out the yoke is seized on the all tread rod. But I was able to disconnect it with the 11/32 socket and push it down manually! I’ll figure out the fix later. I’m stoked right now!!

Thank you for the video. It helped me a lot. After hours of trying to figure out what broke on the motor, it turned out to be something very simple. There is a brass bushing that aligns the axil of the electric winding within this motor. that pops out of its housing. I super glued it back in place, and the motor now works because the worm gear is back in alignment when the brass bushing is back in place. You have to glue the bushing because it pops out very easy. Took me hours to figure this out. And new motors are not available. There are 4 tabs that hold the gear's end piece of the motor. Bend them back and expose that end of the motor. If you by mistake pull the axil away from the connector end of the motor, it will be time-consuming to get it back in place due to the brushes need to be pulled back. I used a dental tool to get the brushes back in place. GM wants 600 bucks for the base and 100 for shipping. What a rip-off.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that GM didn't make these motors easily replaceable.

You dont need a special tool, a 15mm on the front and 7/16 on the back will get those off.
